On April 1, 2019 my 11-year-old son had a pulmonary evaluation at Children’s Hospital in Aurora. Dr. Stillwell was the pulmonologist that saw my son and diagnosed him with asthma. I have no reason to believe the diagnosis is not accurate. The hospital support staff and nurses at Children’s were wonderful. I have been around long enough to have had multiple experiences with professionals who feel at liberty to dismiss my concerns and belittle my inquiries. That was my experience on April 1 with Dr. Stillwell. I believe Dr. Stillwell treated me like an idiot and belittled my questions so I would stop asking questions. It worked… but it was wrong. I don’t recommend this doctor- particularly not around kids.

Dr. Stillwell has been amazing with our son. He is a chronic croup kid, his bedside manner is great and he really took the time to explain to us how we can help our son with the symptoms and what would be our next steps if need be. We also have access to our sons chart through a hospital portal and can email him with questions and concerns and he or his teams response time is great! I would definitely recommend him for any pulmonary issues your kiddo might have.

While Dr.Stillwell seemed awkward at first, I feel like he is a great doctor. I came armed with a number of questions and he was patient as well as informative when he answered. He reviewed everything we talked about at the end of our appointment. I trusted his advice and felt comfortable with his treatment and knowledgeability. I would recommend him to others seeking an informed and experienced pediatric pulmonologist.
