Dr. Paul Summers, MD

The absolute best doctor I’ve been to. So helpful and willing to listen to concerns. I struggled with recurrent yeast infections for a year until I went to him and he’s helped me manage them ever since. Has a good balance of using medicine and natural approaches.

Dr Summers was able to diagnose my issue after three other doctors could not. It took time, but he was thorough with tests and results. He clearly explained what was going on and took time to answer my questions. He is very knowledgeable!

I was interested in receiving more information on birth control options, particularly IUDs, and Dr. Summers was very clearly in favor of birth control pills over IUDs. He tried to say that IUDs were really meant for women who had already had children and said my uterus was "borderline" too small to place one and that I would have to see a specialist. I wasn't happy with the current side effects I was experiencing on the pill (I was having periods every other week) and he was very dismissive of how annoying/disruptive that would be. I went to another gynecologist in the area to get a second opinion and she was much more validating and assured me that my uterus was a completely normal size and she wouldn't have any troubles placing an IUD. She stated that while some IUDs, like the copper ones, are best used in women who had already had children, there are many other IUD options that are much smaller and commonly used in young women. I would not recommend Dr. Summers.

Dr. Summers is the absolute best when it comes to dealing with vaginitis! He can diagnose things that other docs will miss and over-prescribe not knowing what it is.

I wasn't expecting anything to great after reading reviews, but I thought he was great. He was very helpful for my condition. He kept asking if I have any questions, he was easy to talk to and listened well. He didn't mumble like others said. I would return again.

I've never been more appreciative of a doctor then I have of Dr. Summers. I had seen 3 doctors 10+ times over the course of 2 years without any relief. After seeing Dr. Summers my condition completely cleared up, and he also took the time to tell me exactly what was going on and answer a TON of questions that I had. Not only was he a great diagnostician, I have all the confidence in the world that if he hadn't been right the first time he would have continued to work hard to help me heal.
