Excellent and very helpful with my condition.

I've seen 2 other Drs for my issues and he has the best bedside manner of ANY Dr of ANY kind I've met and I have had many. So kind, patient, calming, and a very warm smile that is comforting. He has been great at easing my fears I have surgery with him soon. The other reviews are making me feel even better about him! Def the best Dr I've had so far.

This was a check up after surgery I had a hysterectomy and two other procedures. He’s such an extremely gifted surgeon. Thanks to his great abilities and care I felt wonderful and was free of pain within 10 days.

Paul Tulikangas MD is a national treasure. His superlative skills, be they surgical, diagnostic, or interpersonal, position him among the best of the best. I have sought his care for two surgeries, one very complicated, and again in consultation more recently. His respect for the patient, his ability to really listen, and establish treatment/action plans instill comfort and trust. Exceptional person and MD. I am ever grateful to him.

(NOTE: I gave an earlier review of Dr T, and for some reason, it posted as 3 stars instead of 5. Hopefully this will offset that earlier review) Fifteen years ago, Dr T performed my pelvic prolapse surgery with uterine removal. I was concerned then about the use of surgical mesh but he assured me it was safe PROVIDING the surgeon knows what he’s doing. He assured me he did. Happily, I can repost that I have had zero complications from the mesh, unlike several women I’ve met over the years who had their prolapse surgeries/mesh implant by other doctors. It hasn’t moved & I’ve had no nerve pain from it. I highly recommend this doctor & his talented team. I was in the hospital for 4 days. A word of advice: during the night after surgery, the nurse or asst got me out of bed to walk. I could feel something tearing & told her but she continued to pull me up. I ripped stitches so my right abdomen has a permanent droop. Please discuss this with your doc ahead of time to avoid this result.

Dr. Tulikangas and his staff have been professional, courteous and kind. They have exceeded my expectations throughout the entire process of my surgery—pre op through post op and every where in between. Results of my surgery have far exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t be happier.

Dr. Tulikangas performed a very complicated reconstructive pelvic surgery for me with excellent skills and great results. I needed no opiates even during my first days of recovery, only a few Motrins for pain. I was amazed how I was functioning pretty normally already after a week or two postoperatively. Dr. Tulikangas has excellent communication and listening skills, sharing my values in open two-way communication. I never felt hurried, always very comfortable. I got advice that was meant personally only to my condition and lifestyle before and after the surgery, helping my decision making and recovery to be the best possible. Very thankful!

He did surgery on me to lift my bladder, success and happy! He’s the best!

At age 51, I had pelvic prolapse surgery with Dr. T. I never had children, was active & only mildly overweight so it was unusual for someone like me to have prolapse. I was concerned about what I was hearing about transvaginal mesh failure but Dr T assured me it’s not an issue when it’s used by someone who knows what they’re doing. My ob-gyn recommended Dr T because he believed him to be “the best in the business”. And I have to agree. I’ve met several other women with chronic, debilitating pain after this kind of surgery, but I’m happy to say that nearly 16 years later, I’ve had no issues. So I highly recommend Dr T if you need this sort of surgery.

Dr. Tulikangas is very professional. He listens very carefully to his patients' concerns and questions and addresses them immediately. He explains the procedures he recommends thoroughly and , if appropriate, offers options. He gives patients the time necessary to address his patients' needs. What pleased me was that he is soft- spoken and has a pleasant sense of humor, as well. I recommend Dr. Tulikangas very highly, without reservation.

I had seen Dr Tulikangas a number of years ago, but my OBGYN a suggested I pay another visit to check on my pelvic prolapse. As before Dr Tulikangas was cheerful and very thorough in his questions and exam. I was relieved not to need surgery and felt reassured having seen him. His staff was very friendly and all were professional.

Dr Tulikangas is unusually patient and caring. He creates a comforting patient-doctor rapport at first meeting, as well as being thorough.

The nicest man. Soft spoken makes u feel so comfortable. Talks to u and explains everything to you. Never made me feel like he was in a rush, took his time with u. Highly recommend.

Dr Tulikangas goes above and beyond to care for his patients. His knowledge of the urogyno issues is outstanding. He is kind, compassionate, he takes his job very seriously. He will do what is right for your situation, not just what the normal thing to do .,,

Had my first appointment with Dr. Tulikangas to discuss surgery. He was wonderful. I’ve never left a doctor review before, but he was so detailed, thorough, attentive, and very kind. He seemed interested in getting to know and understand the “ whole patient”. For first time in years I feel confident about having surgery and look forward to my pre-op!
