This was a hospital discharge visit and, as usual, Dr. VanSweden reviewed all aspects of my hospital stay as well as post treatment l, such as physical therapy.

Due to recent cardiovascular issues, I was in need of a local pcp who is also a cardiologist. I vet my doctors well and I must say, Dr Vansweden was everything I hoped for, and more. He spent longer than expected with me during my appointment, listening to my worries intently. He answered all my questions, showed deep knowledge and caring, and developed a plan for me which eased my mind during a very stressful time. I was left with many questions from my previous doctors. They seemed to be more robotic in their care, checking boxes off rather than providing healthcare. Dr Vansweden is the complete opposite. I would highly recommend Dr Vansweden if you are looking for a caring physician who will take the time to listen and develop a treatment plan tailored for you.

Dr Paul and his staff always seem to be concerned about my wife and myself everytime we go to them for what we are dealing with

Dr. Paul is knowledgeable of medicine. However, he over prescribes medication, not considering the risk nor explaining the risk. I visited him 3 times , and he prescribed me almost 10 drugs, most of which were highly unnecessary and I did not take. One of the drugs, Ciproflaxcin caused a severe reaction that knocked me off my feet for 3 months. A simpler antibiotic took care of the problem.
