Be careful
I had a dreadful experience with her. Dr Fu performed a great toe fusion on my left foot on July 28, 2023 which has still not healed due to her negligence. I wound up with bone marrow edema of the second metatarsal. For three months I kept telling her my foot was painful and swollen, and her response was that I just had to walk more on it, and that 'she didn't baby her patients'. I alerted her to my drug allergies, and she ignored them, continuing to prescribe things that I could not take. It wasn't until I consulted another surgeon that she finally did an MRI. I regret the day I walked into her office.

Proceed with Caution, terrible experience
During my visit Dr. Fu displayed nothing but unprofessionalism and bad attitude. Firstly, I am a returning patient and she did not review the file for the prior visit andMRI's that were ordered and came in without any prior understanding, which was very surprising to me. I had to personally remind her of the MRI's and give the reports to look at on my phone, to her surprise. During my visit for severe pain in my ankle (same reason I previously came) I was asking questions on the causes, treatments, preventive action, and trying to think through the details that I can provide to figure out what is causing this extremely painful and disruptive issue. Dr. Fu started to give me weird answers, mentioning cancer, other diseases I can have, becoming aggravated I would ask any questions at all and directing me to see other Doctors for second opinions, and finally she walked out and slammed the door on me to end the session. It seems all she wanted to do was rush me out, give a quick diagnosis.

I have seen numerous DPM's and Dermatologists in New York for persistent plantar warts. Save yourself from the empty promises and failed treatments and the endless expenses. No one compares to Dr. Fu. And I have seen so many docs. Head and shoulders above the rest. I love Dr. Fu! No one else treats my feet. And she is really nice too.

I had a recurring problem with foot pain that will probably require surgery in the future. But Dr. Fu was very attentive and patient with me, crafting non-surgical solutions to buy time, because there was a more critical surgery needed that precluded foot surgery. She ordered inserts, special shoes and crafted additional arch supports and cushions. I found her warm, friendly and patient. Sadly, insurance often doesn't cover podiatry. Odd that people blame the doctor for that.

She has a cold, unfriendly vibe. She doesn't remember why you came in and she rushes the appointment. She gets defensive when you ask questions. She lacks bedside manners and she doesn't care about the patient. She didn't even offer me a bandaid when my foot was bleeding. She only cares about money and there's usually no patients who come to see her. Avoid her for surgery. She can't be trusted! Office is also dirty and disgusting. The receptionist didnt even put a pad under my feet.

i never got to see the doctor. My appointment was made in July for August then changed till September. The first question asked is, "what insurance do I have?". When I arrived on the day of my appointment I was told they do not accept my insurance and that my insurance does not even cover podiatry. When I called my insurance company and gave themDr. Fu's information the insured me that they do cover visits with her and that I am covered fro podiatry. HORRIBLE!!!!
