A Better Neurosurgeon Does Not Exist
Struggling with Degenerative Disc Disease, arthritis, and scoliosis, my life changed in 2020 when I became severely disabled. In my search for a skilled surgeon, Dr. Pawel P. Jankowski stood out. His immediate focus on my critical cervical spine condition, which I was unaware of, showcased his exceptional expertise. He performed life-saving cervical and lumbar/thoracic spinal surgeries, restoring functionality to my paralyzed right leg and preventing paralysis. His subsequent surgeries corrected my scoliosis, bringing me back to full health. Dr. Jankowski's skill, coupled with his compassionate approach, literally handed my life back to me. He's more than a neurosurgeon; he's a life-saver and miracle-worker. I'm immensely grateful to Dr. Jankowski for giving me a future I thought I had lost. His care has been a true blessing.

If you are in need of an AMAZING Neurosurgeon and team Dr. Jankowski is the doctor to choose. I sadly had a slip and fall in a bathroom in Oct. 2022 and had emergency spine surgery on November 6th 2022. Unfortunately the surgery was not done completely or correctly. I was slowly getting worse and my PT noticed during the evaluation and sadly it was much worse then expected. When I went to the ER prior to the emergency surgery they only did a MRI on my lumbar (The ER I went to was not Hoag or Saddleback originally.) even though I let them know I had a slip and fall. So after the excruciating surgery with the first doctor in November of 2022, I found out after three months of physical therapy I was getting worse. So I had to fight to get the imaging I needed, which showed I had four collapsed disc and a central spinal impingement in my neck at C6-C7 and in my L5-S1 along with a vertebra broken. Which lead me to my journey of finding the right doctor. I went from California to New York to have consultations with eight of the top Neurosurgeons, all of them saying I needed surgery and prior to me getting to the year point of the initial injury due to the impingement. Three of the doctors I had consultations with were very humble and told me that I was out of their scope of what they could do. But through that journey I was blessed to find Dr. Jankowski and his right hand Paritash. From the moment I called to make the consultation appointment with Dr. Jankowski, Paritash not only TRULY cared about what I had going on but was so kind and efficient in trying to get me in as quickly as possible for the consultation. Dr. Jankowski is a very high demand doctor due to his specialty and his OUTSTANDING WORK, but Paritash got me in as quickly as possible and then put me on a waiting list and got me in sooner due to a cancelation. From the moment I got off the phone with her I truly felt I was going to be in good hands. Still however, the day came for my appointment and I was still scared due to the past consultations. Which all went away after meeting Dr. Jankowski with his wonderful bedside manner, how he genuinely truly cares and wants the VERY best for his patients. Dr. Jankowski is efficient, he truly crosses all his T's persay before surgery, it was very impressive. From sending me to other doctors to rule out any other condition to the testing and additional imaging he did. After everything Dr. Jankowski said we needed to move quickly due to the condition my back was in and because of my excruciating pain. Paritash and Dr. Jankowski went above and beyond to get me in as quickly as they could, even going so far as to finishing getting hospital privileges at Saddleback Hospital to do my anterior lumbar which included removing four disc and placing titanium spacers and my C5-C6 motion disc replacement on October 16th, 2023. I was so fearful of the pain due to the emergency surgery I had (which was not done by Dr. Jankowski) being so excruciating however, Dr. Jankowski did a phenomenal job the pain was minimal after compared to what I thought it was going to be. I was sitting up six hours after surgery and up and walking with an extremely less pain then I was in when walking into that surgery the morning of the surgery, which was absolutely phenomenal. After the anterior lumbar surgery I still needed to have my posterior lumbar fusion of all four levels from S1-L3, with fusion to my hips and reconstruction of the S natural spine shape due to my spine lossing it from the collapsed disc. Which Dr. Jankowski was the only doctor that found that my back was now what is called flat back, and with out fixing the S shape of the spine I would never be able to walk without pain. Paritash being the AMAZING person she is as well Dr. Jankowski started working hard to get the date at Hoag for me to have the next surgery. As usual Paritash being the right hand to Dr. Jankowski she was able to get Hoags surgery room for me on November 6th, 2023, but then she called and pulled her magic and said they could get me in November 1st, 2023 due to a surgeryroom cancelation. I was so excited to get the second part done so that I could get on my way to recovery. Especially since I was walking so much better with my walker after the 1st anterior lumbar interbody fusion surgery Dr. Jankowski did and my neck was 100% better. So on November 1st, 2023 I went in for the posterior lumbar fusion with fusion to the hips. Dr. Jankowski did a phenomenal job however, sadly we had to change it from a four level fusion to a five level fusion because my L2 disc once he opened me up was shot and not looking good. Dr. Jankowski took the initiative to make sure to remove and fuse that disc as well even though it was not in the original plan because he cares and Dr. Jankowski did not want to have to reopen me in a few years from now. Now if that does not show you what a phenomenal doctor he is I don't know what else will. I am not going to say I did not have pain from both surgeries because I did, but Dr. Jankowski kept it under control. I am 47 days out of surgery I am in much much less pain then prior to the surgery, I can walk with the walker and I have control over my left foot again because I had lost it almost completely prior. I am working hard with Dr. Jankowski to fully heal and get back to myself again, which now because of Dr. Jankowski I have hope I can get my self back to walking without an aid. Dr. Jankowski follows you the whole time and is very active in making sure you have the best outcome you can get because he truly wants to see his patients to succeed! Paritash, Dr. Jankowski's right hand was the most understanding and caring person ever, she is truly AMAZING as well! Paritash always kept me updated, she moved things around and was the one that made me be able to get my anterior lumbar done at Saddleback quicker and my posterior at Hoag, she took time to make sure I was at ease with everything. She and Dr. Jankowski monitored all my wounds themselves, she took out my staples for each surgery and made sure to guide and help me every step of the way. She is truly a wonderful person and cares deeply. IF YOU NEED A NEUROSURGEON AND TEAM THAT TRULY CARES, AND CAN HANDLE ANYTHING, DR. JANKOWSKI AND PARITASH ARE THE TEAM YOU WANT. SITTING HERE TODAY WRITING THIS REVIEW IS AN HONOR AND I WILL FOREVER BE ETERNAL GRATEFUL TO DR. JANKOWSKI AND PARITASH FOR HELPING ME GET MY LIFE BACK, I HAVE A LONG WAY BUT THIS TIME LAST YEAR I THOUGHT I WOULD NEVER WALK AGAIN NORMALLY AND NOW I KNOW I WILL WALK WITH OUT ASSISTANCE SOONER THAN LATTER. Thank you Dr. Jankowski and Paritash for everything! I am truly blessed to have found you and to have had you repair my back and be by my side through this recovery. With Much Gratitude, Shanadore Griffiths

Great Spine Surgeon
Dr Jankowski clearly explained the surgery that needed to be performed, the risks in the benefits. Every interaction with the doctor and his team and especially his assistant Paritosh, was definitely a 10 out of 10 the surgery was complex and require two separate surgeries are consecutive days. I would highly recommend Dr Jankowski and I’m truly blessed to have benefited from his incredible expertise.

2 Separate Successful Spine Surgeries in 2 Months!
Dr. Jankowski performed L-spine reconstructive surgery on my back in 01/2022 and C-spine reconstructive surgery in 03/2022. Both surgeries were outstanding! I had virtually no post op pain and my recovery was rapid for both surgeries. Dr. J has a great personality and is very communicative. My surgeries were at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach where he is greatly respected and very well thought of. His expertise made my procedures very, very doable. He is also supported by a great staff. Paritash is fantastic! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jankowski, Paritash and ONEBSC! Gary

I strongly recommend Dr. Jankowski for spinal surgery. He discussed my options, his suggested surgery, and how he would perform it. He was clear, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable. He knows the modern technology that supports his surgery, and he is there for you in post-op recovery. After two unsuccessful surgeries by another doctor, Dr.Jankowski cleaned up the prior issues and successfully fused T5 through S1. He gave me back my spine!

Dr. Jankowski performed my spinal surgery to remove degenerative disc material and implant artificial disc, along with performing an L4-L5 (lumbar segment 4 and lumbar segment 5) spinal fusion in April 2018. Dr. Jankowski has a certain bedside manner--he is always attentive, compassionate, and professional, during consultations, before and during surgery, and at each follow up appointment. My surgery was over 8 hours long, using robotics and required going in surgically from the front abdomen as well as from the back, using the robotics. 18 months out of my surgery and I am able to live my life virtually pain free and have resumed all activities, including golf. I can't thank Dr. Jankowski enough for not only giving me the quality of life that was slipping from me, but for treating me with dignity and respect, every step of the way. I cannot recommend him enough.

Dr. Jankowski was awesome, he fixed my back during his 7th year of residency. Many surgeons wouldn’t touch my back. I was bone on bone from L3-S2, he rebuilt me. I can’t thank him enough, His bedside manner and consideration for my family was second to none.
