Dr. Paxton Smith after my hernia surgery in May 2019, did not want to even look at the amount of excessive swelling or bruising i had, said "I don't want to be bothered", spent about 3 mins. a day on his visit, could care less if i lived or died. When I quit urinating because of the excessive swelling he did not order a catheter for me for 2 1/2 days.. almost blew my bladder up. I almost died from this relative easy Hernia Mesh surgery and here it is Sept. 3rd 2019 and I've not recovered yet....i will never allow him to operate on me again,,,,very arrogant and self centered...

RUDE DOCTOR. He could care less to listen to any concerns his patients have. He cut me off mid sentence as I was telling him what I was worried about and he told me he was finished with my appointment. Would NEVER recommend him to anyone.

I was operated on by Dr. Smith in 2013 for an intestinal obstruction. He is competent, communicative, patient friendly and caring. In 2016 when my wife was admitted to Baptist North Hospital in San Antonio I was pleased to learn that Dr. Smith would be the one to operate on her. He took an extra step and effort when preliminary evaluation required regular, not simply laproscopic surgery. I warmly recommend him based on our family's experience.
