Dr. Payal Suthar, DO

Dr. Suthar has been my doctor for over 8 years. I have only words of praise for her help with my psoriatic arthritis, understanding and patience.

Dr. Suthar is wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and shares her knowledge in a simple way so it is easy to understand. Autoimmune conditions aren't easy to understand. She is patient, kind and supportive! I am glad she's my doc.

Dr. Suthar has been the first rheumatologist to actually help me and listen to me. I have been gaslit by other doctors for multiple years, about 5 of them. Dr. Suthar confirmed my diagnosis and has helped me feel a lot better. I’m not sure why she has any bad reviews. Shes the best!

I did have a great experience with Dr Suthar, actually. Was apprehensive after reading these online reviews, but based on my experience, I have no complaints whatsoever. Dr Suthar was pleasant to interact with, did a thorough assessment of my clinical symptoms and history, and patiently explained the options that I may consider for further assessment of my condition. Excellent bedside manners, knew her stuff, and a congenial attitude. I walked out of there quite reassured, that I had been assessed by an expert in her field.

Dr. Suthar is wonderful! Not sure where these negative reviews are stemming from. She has helped me with my medical care in an exemplary way. She is patient, kind, good listener and more importantly asks all the important questions to get to the bottom of the situation at hand. I am glad to have her as my doctor!

It's funny how people expect the doctor to make them feel better with as little investment in personal responsibility as possible. You see the doctorfor what, 15 minutes every three months? What are YOU doing in the time between visits to take charge of your own health? Dr Suthar is your partner in managing your wellness, not a miracle worker for those not willing to tweak their lifestyles. Particularly with joint pain, weight loss and exercise are oft-cited recommendations that are effective in achieving pain relief. But hey, if you would rather continue inhaling bacon double cheeseburgers than putting forth any effort, don't blame the doctor.

Not really useful, when i asked what it means ( about a word) she said I don’t know how explain, and just repeat it again!

BAD-In 2016 Once she gave me results at my follow up, she was very rude and kept telling me to lose weight. She doesn't prescribe pain meds like Tramadol or muscle relaxers like Flexeril. I got worse under her care. At each visit, I told her how bad I felt. My knees and knuckles were badly swollen. In her notes at each visit, she would put that I am feeling good and getting better. I realized I wasn't getting better, and she was not being truthful, so I found another doctor.

I went to see Dr Patel with high hopes of getting some help for my arthritis. My visit with her was one of the worst Dr/patient visits I have ever had. I did not know that shaming patients about their weight is considered part of an effective treatment plan. that combined with her condescending attitude towards me made the entire visit a nightmare. while she spent plenty of time with me, it was completely wasted. I would have been better off with no visit then I was seeing Dr Patel.
