Dr. Periasamy Samikkannu, MD

He did nothing when he knew I was developing colorectal cancer. On the first day that I saw another physician, I was sent for an x-ray and a colonoscopy. Subsequently, I had surgery and chemotherapy.Is this physician trained in the US? If not, he may have passed an exam to practice medicine but would not have the same training as a physician trained in the US

He has been a life saver for me. Always listens and is so caring. He is the only doctor who actually listens, believes me and helps me when I am experiencing post op pain and my surgeons want to ignore my pain and treat me like I'm just seeking drugs. Terrible of them!!! I'm so sad he is retiring.

Have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Samikkannu. He is the most kind, patient and understanding doctor I've ever had and Sue is receptionist is fantastic. Love them!!!

Dr. Samikkannu has been our family doctor for many years. My husband and I have been very satisfied with his care. He is knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

Dr Sammikannu has been our physician for over 20 years. He is delightful charming man who always takes time to listen to our concerns. However badly I feel when I go to his office, I always leave feeling better. We have had some major medical issues, and Dr Sammikannu has always been accurate with the prognosis, current with the research and thorough in the care of us. He is not quick to prescribe medications, at times takes a wait and see approach, but always wants the patient to follow up.

He does a good job of treating common ailments like colds, flu, sinus infections, rashes, strep etc. but does not do well at treating chronic pain. He is nearing retirement and seems to be less invested, doesn't give enough time or listen closely to what I tell him. He seems to be more in a hurry than he used to be. He is reluctant to order tests or refer to a specialist when asked.
