Dr. Peter Bouman II, MD

Performed a very quick laser procedure and when I asked for a full scan as we’ve been in the sun for years it took less than 30 seconds. Not to mention he was very condescending and really made me feel like he wanted to get me out of his office as soon as he did his little, less than 10 second, laser job. I’d never go back and I never in 1 million years would recommend. Terrible experience. The staff is equally pompous, curt and rude actually. Just churning dollars that’s obvious. Disturbing. I was referred to Bouman after my old dermatologist retired. Bouman barely looked at my skin, didn't talk much and when I asked for an explanation of what a specific spot was he responded with "you don't need to worry about that". I hadn't asked if I needed to worry, I asked what it was. I won't go to a doctor who thinks he doesn't have to answer my questions.

Dr Bouman I failed to diagnose crusted scabies after numerous visits, but instead prescribed schizophrenia medicine. I begged him to test my scalp but he would not. I finally diagnosed myself and ordered scabicide from Great Britain. I had my diagnosis confirmed by the local hospital. I wouldn’t record him as this a petty straight forward easy diagnosis that any competent dermatologist should be able to make. I’m scarred on my neck and arms because of the 6 month delayed treatment.

I was not impressed with him at all. Did not hardly look at my skin at all. I don't even think he said a total of 20 words. I would not recommend him.

This guy skirted around the edge of the room like he was afraid he was going to catch something off me. I'm a redhead and have had things removed already, but they are light in color and you have to LOOK at my skin. He barely even spoke to me, much as looked at me. Since I didn't go there "with a problem" he didn't see any reason to look at me and basically told me to come back if I had any concerns.

I was under the care of a different dermatologist, who misdiagnosed my condition. Dr. Bouman told me this, gave me a different prescription, and the condition cleared up. I'm extremely happy with Dr. Bouman and will continue seeing him if needed in the future.
