Dr. Peter Coelho, MD

Dr Coelho has been my doctor for 22 years and I wouldn't go to anyone else. He is very intelligent and keeps up with his medical knowledge. He follows through with helping you solve your medical issues. He is candid and honest.

My wife and I love him. Great person with great communication skills and a sincere care for your well being. Took time during his family vacation to consult with my wife's surgeon when she was hospitalized with a serious condition. Stood by us and guided us in our decisions when we needed him the most!

I have been going to him for a couple of years now, since my former doctor retired. He is easy to talk with, very up-to-date on medical advances, and relates well to the patient. His staff is outstanding.

Dr. Coelho is professional while still being personally concerned about your health and has you think about how to enhance your overall nutrition and health future. He is able to explain thoroughly what your conditions are and recommend treatment and lifestyle changes. He and his staff work within a comfortable atmosphere that puts you at ease. We are 77 and 82 years of age and he is the best doctor we have ever experienced.

I had Dr. Coehlo listed on my insurance. I called multiple times and finally had someone call me back. The first person who answered the phone was painful to talk to, I’ve had pets that are brighter. The second time I spoke to someone they told me he isn’t taking new patients, I explained that he is listed as my primary physician with my insurance. She was rude, obviously low rent and told me in very few words, that that is my problem. I can’t understand why any doctor would want to hurt their practice with incompetent, unintelligent people.

Our doctor in San Jose retired this year and we switched to Dr. Coelho in the Spring of this year. At the initial appointment he recommended for us to get a Thoracic Calcium Scan. I had no symptoms of heart issues. 7 months later I have 2 heart stents implanted. Arteries were 80% clogged. Coelho saved me from a Stroke or Heart Attack. His referrals to Endocrinologist and Cardiac Physician were Excellent. Coelho is Top Notch ! Best Doctor I ever had. Highly Recommend !

Dr Coelho is a pretty good doctor. However the immaturity and inappropriateness of his staff do not help his practice. I recently went in for pre-op tests and his staff member that helped with the test made several inappropriate comments and made me very uncomfortable. I would not recommend him mostly due to the quality of his staff. Unfortunately the overall quality of the practice suffers because of this.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Coelho for about 10 years. He is kind, compassionate and makes you feel comfortable immediately. But most importantly he takes his time & lets you ask as many questions as you like. What a relief not to feel rushed & then get home & realize that you didn't get all of your questions answered. He even sends you home with instructions for care. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Peter Coleho has been our family physician for years. He is very attentive to all medical concerns and will assist to the best of his abilities. If he believes you should be seen by a specialist he does not hesitate on sending you out. He gets to the point quickly and wants to resolve pressing issues.

Flippant, insincere and lazy. Expresses more concern for personal efficiency than patient service.
