My last appointment with him was a disaster. He yelled at an employee in the hallway, slammed the door and apparently did not review my chart before seeing me. It ended up, that he really did not listen to me or even care. I called his nurse and told her I would never come back. His response was to send me a letter of noncompliance. Really?

Tell it as it is doctor, friendly staff.
I have been a patient of Dr, Dumas a couple years. He is very straight forward and doesn't always tell me what I want to hear, but so far has been right on and has chosen successful treatment protocols. I have found the staff friendly. especially his nurse, Kindra. If you are looking for an exceptionally friendly physician, you may want to look elsewhere. If you are looking for one that knows his stuff. my vote is for Dr. Dumas.

Office is too disorganized and it's dangerous
It took more than a week to reach anyone to schedule an appointment on the phone as the office lost my referral. I was suffering tremendously with bizarre symptoms and needed urgent help. Their next available appointment was in 3 months. I verified with the receptionist when scheduling that they accepted my insurance. The day before my appointment, someone from their office left a message that they canceled my appointment because they didn't take my insurance. Because of this disorganization, I didn't even begin to get any help elsewhere for more than six months after my symptoms started.

was rushed and told a procedure would be done, told him the procedure wouldnt work, because i couldnt swallow, , he said i could, went for the procedure, they couldnt do it, called the office to let them know it was not done, hoping a different one could be done, had to leave a message for the nurse, called every day for one week, leaving messages, never got a call returned, just cancelled the appointment and found another Doctor, the Staff is the worst Staff i ever dealt with, i was a patient there previously but was not treated that way before. I would not refer anyone to this office.

I never actually got to see him. After their office not calling for 2 weeks with my referral, I finally started calling. Nobody picked up for days. I was finally able to get through to someone and gave them my insurance info and made an appointment. The appointment was 2 months out. About 3 days before my appointment someone left a message saying they realized they didn't take my insurance so they cancelled my appointment. I was and still am in pain, and wish they told me this when I called initially. My insurance is listed on their website. Now I have a long several month wait with another GI just to see someone. I am in pain. This is not healthcare. Incompetency rules the day.

I didn't find him arrogant at all; very kind, in fact. Listens well, especially on telehealth visits.

I started seeing dr Dumas about two years ago and by far the best GI Doctor I have had. I have had a few in New York and Florida combined. Dr. Dumas is a one cap fits all kind of dr. He saw me for digestive problems and wanted to know if I was up to date with the following;bone density, flu shot, stress test, mammography, Pap smear, etc. and suggested I speak to my PCP about getting those tests. He cares about his patients and their overall health. Thank you dr. Dumas for a healthy me.
