Dr. Peter Filozof, MD

I love Dr Filozof, he performed endometriosis surgery on me and really made up for the messed up surgery I'd had 3 years ago. However, his staff were very rude when I called about concerning symptoms after my surgery. Emily Mallet is the staff member who I spoke to. She's very rude, and talked down my concerns, and left a very passive aggressive note in my chart. She was also aggravated I called from the ER because there was no provider in the office, even though I was told by the Dr I saw in the ER to call the office. I've had several other bad experiences with Dr Filozof's staff as well. Even though he's great and super polite, almost all of his staff and nurses are rude and unprofessional, and do not care about a patients' pain whatsoever. I'd still recommend filozof, but I would also recommend you speak to the nurses and desk staff as little as you possibly can.

The doctor is wonderful. Staff is rude. Drove over an hour to get to my appointment and was almost 15 mins late because of big trucks. The receptionist told me I needed to reschedule, but they have no problem making you wait well over an hour in the waiting room to be seen any other time.

Dr. Filozof is one of the most amazing doctors I've ever been to. He is funny and knowledgeable. Those in the comments above must have been there on a very busy day because none of those things happened to me. I was seen in about 15 minutes after arrival.

Dr. Filozof is fantastic. Even though I had to wait almost two hours it was worth it. I want the best and I am willing to wait. He is very knowledgeable and down to earth. I will continue to doctor with him.

Dr Filozof was amazing with both of my pregnancies. I had an emergency csection because my son's heart rate dropped. Filozof didn't waste any time. I went into preterm labor with my second pregnancy so he kept a good eye on me, I was in his office twice a week. He will listen to you and answer questions honestly.

Dr. Filozof's office is a madhouse. Just step into the waiting room and you will see. When you check in, take a peek behind the nurse's desk and you will notice stacks of patients' files piled on the floor. You'll hear the phone ringing off the hook. You'll also hear disgruntled patients complaining about the wait time. (2-3 hours for a pap smear is a bit much, eh?) You do NOT have to settle. There are fantastic OBGYNS in Parkersburg. Do yourself a favor, LEAVE!

Although he is a fantastic Doctor I think he is overwhelmed with patients. Waiting room time is awe full. Over an hour and a half. Maybe he should down size his patients.

I have him as my obgyn and he's beyond amazing!
