Dr. Peter Koltai, MD

He put tubes in 2 of my children ears way back in 1983 he was very caring and wonderful with young children that's when he was at AMCH I wish he was back Albany NY

I was a patient of Dr. Koltai while I was a young teenager. I’m now 50. I’ve had several other ent’s. Dr. K. Actually saved my hearing. I had a surg. By another dr years later that totally changed my life for the worse. The surgeon made a mistake and over cut something and the result was my ear canal has been sagging ever since. Been to other ENT’s. Say nothing is wrong! BS! Dr. K before he left Albany Med had finally seen what I had been complaining about??. However I didn’t know he was leaving for a new job. I can say I love Dr. Koltai. He treated me as family. I never forgot him. Actually think about him daily bc I still live with this ear and the feeling it’s packed with dressing after surgery. It drives me mad some days. I’m afraid I’ll die this way. I’ve given up on ever feeling normal again. I hold my ear to open my canal and for a brief moment remember what it was like to have a normal ear again. Dr. K, Thank U. Wish u were in Albany again!??

My daughter at the age of 2 had her tonsils out. Dr Koltai was in Albany med then. He is one of the best. I wish he was still here. I recommend him 100%.

He was rushed, curt, disinterested, and arrogant during our visit. He repeatedly cut me off when I tried to ask questions. Did not even say hi to my child at all during the exam. Also ordered unnecessary test that exposed my child to radiation, when another test he was going to do all along would show better results. Completely irresponsible. If he's not willing to answer basic questions, then I don't trust him to do a careful job operating on my child. Avoid!

Dr Koltai is Amazing.My 4 yr old daughter had sleep apnea issues. When we visited Dr Koltai, by looking at my daughter he clearly told us her medical condition. And after procedure she was doing great. He did an excellent job and I would strongly recommend him.

My experience with Dr. Koltai was back on November 1st 1985. I was 19 years old and was rushed down from Saratoga Springs, NY Hospital after being kicked in the face by a horse. I will be 50 years old in 2 months and you would never know I had 44 stiches from the corner of my left eye a crossed the bridge of my nose up into my right eye-brow, with 14 pins. I just hope he took pictures :) we didn't. To see how wonderful he has done, makes me feel honored to have been one of his patients.
