Abrupt & dismissive
I saw Dr.. Motel in 2021 for a general skin check, so it is conceivable he has changed.. At that time, the positive was he discovered a pre-cancerous skin lesion on my temple and treated it. The not so positive was his overall superior and curt manner. He sniffed in distaste when I asked him to check my private parts areas (where melanoma is a real possibility). When I asked for an alternative suggestion to petroleum jelly to salve my treatment area, he replied, 'it's only petrolatum!' I found a non-fossil fuel alternative on my own. Charm school grad, he is not.

Dr Motel performed a procedure that caused long-term damage to my legs. He did not explain the procedure or give me any post-procedure instructions. When I returned to discuss the excruciating pain I had from this procedure, he denied that he caused this and had an arrogant attitude. I will not be returning to his practice and have found a better dermatologist.

I've been a patient of Dr. Motel's for some time. I have been on the fence for awhile but the last straw -- his approach for removing warts from my feet was excruciating. I couldn't even walk for a day or two. He said I'd have to go through this horrible procedure every 2-3 weeks for up to a year! That or C02 burning which he said would be worse. Those were my only two options...according to Dr. Motel. So I decided to get a 2nd opinion and glad I did. Much nicer, younger doctor who's approach was virtually pain free and 1/4 of the time to remove the warts. Why would A) he not know about this other option or B) if he knew about it not offer it to me? That's says it all. Will never go back!

Dr. Motel is excellent as is his nurses. I have all my children see him. Front desk staff/those answering the phone are extremely rude and unhelpful. I put up with them because I like him so much but I wish I didn't have to.
