Difficult Scheduling and Reception
Reception won't allow you to schedule an appointment without filling out new patient paperwork. Paperwork is very out-dated and uses language/cultural references that is approximately 30 years old. It needs to be printed out, filled out, scanned and emailed back to their offices. One would assume the most important piece is making sure the insurance information is accurately and completely filled out but reception will actually nitpick if any single question is left unanswered, even if the answer is contextually obvious. Too difficult, short-sighted, and stupid to deal with further.

The staff was friendly and professional. Very easy going. Dr Stamas was on time or a little ahead of schedule. A very thorough exam was performed. The exam included a sit down conversation about wellness and then a full exam of E.N.T, heart and lungs, EKG, etc. All while talking and asking pertinent questions to my well-being. Very effectively accomplished with a correct amount of time for everything.

My dad went to him for physical. My dad was having a heart attack. He rescheduled his patients to drive my dad to hospital. How many doctors would do that? Very compassionate and awesome doctor.

Dr. Stamas is the only physician I know of who usually has no other patients in the waiting room! He's a busy man, but his office schedules people efficiently. I have recommended him to several people in the area. Having seen him for many years, I find him a good general practitioner, partly because he ties in many findings from different doctors/specialists. He is conservative about adding new medications, knowing that such caution can avoid possible interactions and side effects.

I was recommended to Dr Stamas my friends of mine that attend the church I belong to. They said he was a good doctor but was very rough. I now know what they mean. I called to schedule an appt only to learn there was a mix up on my insurance. I offered to pay the bill until it was resolved. I have opetation in two days. They treated me like a criminal. He was more concerned about his 190 dollars than my have a health issue. Stay away. His own staff said he was that way when I first got there.

Not only would I, but I have recommended him to friends and others. He has a very strait-forward no nonsense approach and a very dry sense of humor. If your looking for complements and sugar coated discussions regarding your health, he's not your man. From personal experience, he has been outstanding on every level of understanding and care over the years, not only for me but for my parents, brothers and friends. He really has and does take care of our family. We are very lucky to have him.
