I served in army reserves and been called up several times for law and Afghanistan. The VA and all medical doctors i seen...missed my TBI. IN 2019 Dr Wei nailed it. He diagnosed my TBI perfectly he said I would loose teeth. I thought at the time in 2019 nahhh I spent alot of money on teeth. Well he nailed it 5 years later I lost two teeth, my appendix and now my mind playing tricks. He is best of the best! Call sign Greenrooster see him as military cause I was at Walter Reed physicist best of best their failed and didn't catch it. Sad your tax payers pay for worthless VA!

Frustrating experience
This rating is not necessarily about the competence of Dr. Wei as a physiatrist. Though he is not the friendliest doctor I have seen, this is more about how the practice is run. It took me 3 weeks to get anyone on the phone to schedule my first appointment for my husband, who had suffered a stroke. I had left several voicemails and never got any response back. There is no administrative staff in his office. He literally opens the door for you to go in. It isn't easy to get any support from his office. Anytime I needed a form signed I would get no response. My husband's therapists kept calling and never got an answer for approval of their therapeutic proposals. Highly frustrating when you are already dealing with a significant trauma in your life.

Compassionate care
I have been seeing him for about five years and recently saw him after a two year break due to long hospitalizations, Covid and vascular complications. It was like we never missed a beat. He knew and ordered what I need and is researching for a specialist for me. Dr. Cintron my neurologist was very pleased with his suggestions!

I came to Dr. Wei after I tore my rotator cuff during a swim meet. I was very anxious about when I could return to sport. He was very understanding and knowledgeable, and supported me through my entire rehab process. He also took the time to help me better understand proper swimming mechanics so I prevent any future injuries and stress on my shoulder. I would highly recommend!

Dr. Wei is outstanding. I had a severe concussion and had not received the proper treatment previously to entering his practice. He is very knowledgeable on the treatment for concussions, asks a lot of questions to get the total picture for the patient and to recommend a thorough treatment . He is very kind and caring and spends the time necessary with each patient to provide the correct care. I highly recommend him .

The doctro was my best friend through my spinal cord injury and was my lifeline for the last couple of months. However he sometimes is hard to get a hold of because he is so busy! Office staff is super and nice!

I have had back and neck pain for many years and he Dr. Wei helped me get back to playing golf, and now I can spend time with my grandchildren again. Got in very fast, and couldn't be happier! Highly recommended.

I had a concussion and saw Dr. Wei - he was so compassionate, knowledgeable throughout my care and was supportive of me every step of the way, even as my recovery took up to a year. He helped me navigate through the complicated insurance company claims and I finally got back to my job just last week. Very happy!

I recently saw Dr. Wei for a concussion. We talked for 20 mins. As the patient, I felt like my input was not needed. He seemed to know exactly how long it would take for me to get better. I understand he has likely treated other patients with concussion/brain injury, but is every brain injury outcome the same? Although I appreciate some of his suggestions, he lacked compassion and understanding. It’s not a good feeling to be dismissed by a doctor when it’s something as scary as a brain injury.

I went to see Dr.Wei for a possible herniated disc. I was very disappointed in his care. He was not compassionate or understanding. He was very short with me and did very little to find out about how I was doing. He told me I had a chronic pain problem which would lead to depression and anxiety and that was not the case. I was injured and 3 medical professionals told me they thought I had a herniated disc. His bedside manner was not compassionate or caring. I have found another doctor.
