Unprofessional
Negative reviews are accurate and reflects my experience with Dr. Whang. I have never been more upset or left utterly dismissed by a doctor. He checked me out for 5 minutes, went over my MRI, and simply dismissed me as he is “just a surgeon.” As he did not want to perform surgery on my back, I was no longer his concern and answered questions with one foot out the door. He left without saying goodbye and leaving me unresolved and with many questions. Very unprofessional and dismissive care. Perhaps he is a great surgeon, but did not receive that care.

Dr. Peter Whang found my Cervical upper back and thoracic injuries when other doctors ignored my complaints. He explained I had cervical herniated disc. I was told pain doesn’t radiate from the top to the bottom by other WC doctors or there’s nothing wrong with me! Now I find out with all the additional herniated disc from my work injury at school on 10-16-18, my limbs arms and legs are losing mobility at times. Dr. Peter Whang is the doctor that revealed the truth! Dr. Whang is an exceptional Orthopedic doctor and Highly Skilled in His Profession! Thank you, for giving me a fighting chance so I don’t end up paralyzed! God bless, Tara

Peter Whang is a phenomenal doctor, after waiting tree years and countless hours visiting other doctors I was finally met with my treatment, he sent me for more testing to provide me with an accurate diagnosis. Long story short, we are working on a treatment plan and I have already gotten surgery, I gotta say that my pain is gone. Thanks doc!!!

Never been more upset with a doctor. He checked me out for 2 minutes, ordered an MRI, and prescribed me steroid that he never fully explained. No way he had enough information to do this. He asked me if I had questions with one foot out the door, then left, without shaking my hand, saying the appointment was over or helping me take further action. Online I found that the steroid increases insomnia and anxiety. I deal with both, and indicated this at check-in. He never asked. Out of space. Angry.

The negative review above couldn't be farther from the truth - he must have the wrong guy. Dr. Whang performed surgery on my wife, which was a total success. He helped my daughter with her back issues and he talked my father out of having surgery another doctor had recommended! He is patient, will answer all of your questions and truly caring. Our family has been working with him for over 6 years and have nothing but positive feelings and the utmost respect for his knowledge and abilities.

Doctor Whang is quite possibly THE BEST doctor I have seen hands down--and not just as it relates to spine care. Having a long history of back pain, complicated by a recent car accident, I can tell you that Dr. Whang has been especially careful to provide me with a treatment plan that not only considers the condition I am facing, but also my family's needs and my other health issues. I cannot say enough about how wonderful a Doctor he is! So impressed by the balance of professionalism and care.

He was the worst Doctor I have ever seen. He made me feel stupid, he told me to google things instead of answering my questions, he didn't want to discuss my options until I decided to have surgery. But how can I decide on a surgery if you don't tell me what the surgery is and whether there are other options?
