The initial visit went well. The doctor gave my son a rehabilitation plan which included a CAT scan of the brain when rehab was completed. The CAT scan never happened. Dr. Yonclas felt it wasn't necessary. I disagreed. The fact that my son had sustained trauma to the brain, which resulted in bleeding on both sides of the brain would be cause for a CAT scan. I attempted to meet with Dr. Yonclas after my son's program ended; making appointments on two different occasions to push for my son to have the scan, but each time I went for my scheduled appts, I was told the, 'he was gone for the day.' I should have went to his superior for assistance. Three years later my son was diagnosed with audio and visual hallucinations. I'm not saying that the hallucinations would not have happened anyway, but maybe the scan would have shown that there was a problem. I'll never know.
