Pain Management
Dr Zheng is wonderful! I’ve gotten epidurals for my back and I’m currently going through nerve ablation. He explains everything clearly and he’s very gentle. He talks his time and I’ve never feel rushed.

Very, very unhappy
I no longer could recommend this practice Dr Peter Zheng, pain management. I've been waiting since January for a 2nd injection. Twice the paperwork was sent to my insurance incomplete, therfore, I was denied the procedure which is crucial to my severe dipiltating pain. 2nd I have called the office so many times I've lost count. Ileft so many messages, to date not I received ONE return call a week ago which I returned when I received the message, & have since called & left 4 more messages & appears to be their practice none have been returned. This is beyond rude & extremely unprofessional. I am @ a loss as to why doctors office whose in practice to alleviate pain would allow a patient to suffer. Due to the lack of empathy & unprofessionalism I am left in extreme pain every minute of everyday.

I had an awful experience with this doctor. He would walk in and say "how are you doing?" I'd say I'm in a lot of pain, constantly. He would say "oh but your MRI shows nothing, there is nothing there". I have many injuries to my back all documented; herniated disks, torn disks, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, scoliosis, nerve root impingement, bone spurs...it's a lot. Then he would say "Ohh yeah, I don't know why I'm not seeing it on my computer" and he would try to act like only the receptionist's computer had access to the images and would just laugh it off. This happened about 3x until I said enough is enough, it felt like he was doing this on purpose for some type of reason. I did get an epidural from Zheng during this time and I regret doing it, when he put the needle in, my arms started flailing uncontrollably and then after the procedure as I'm walking out he says "it may get worse". That still worries me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Zheng for around three years and I am a very satisfied patient. From the first time I met him, he and his office staff were very professional, compassionate and respectful of me as a person and a patient. He is such a positive person and he really wants the best for his patients and offers various kinds of treatments. Unlike most doctors who only judge you or your situation, Dr. Zheng and his staff really took the time to thoroughly understand me as a patient and

I have been a patient of Dr. Zheng for over 7 years. I receive several injections for back pain 1 to 2 times per year. He is very compassionate. The accuracy and outcome of the injections in my back are great. I would recommend him to anyone with severe back pain.

What pain management Dr after seeing a patient 2 weeks prior and after multiple calls from the patient and the patients pharmacy to his office still does not follow up. And send the pain med prescription into the pharmacy then leaves for an out of state conference !! So now his PAIN MANAGEMENT patient is left without pain medication for 2 weeks !! One of my other doctors had to send the prescription in for me!! I certainly will NOT be recommending this Dr to anyone !!

Dr. Pici at Lawrence Hospital referred me to Dr. Zheng. I had PT which made me feel worse. After seeing Dr. Zheng just a few times, I felt considerably better. He is kind, compassionate , and reminds me sometimes of an old fashioned country Doctor He tries different procedures to make you feel more comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone in dire pain with their back, and any other part of the body for that matter.

I first visited Dr. Zheng in Poughkeepsie, NY, for severe pain in lower back and my left knee, due to an injury. After my second visit, I felt immediate relief in my knee after receiving an injection. Several days later Dr. Zheng was able to relieve the pain in my lower back as well. I found Dr. Zheng to be very pleasant, easy to talk to and most important, he took the time to listen. He explains the why's as well as the why not's and does not rush my visits. He takes his time and gets to the ro

Dr. Zheng is one of the best pain management doctor's around , he take's the time to help me understand what type of treatment is best to meet my needs. To be able to trust another doctor the way I've been able to trust him says a lot because I don't trust many doctor's if any! I can say this if your looking for a doctor that will hand out pain meds. for no other reason then feeling the need to be on them then he's not the doctor for you . He works to overcome the pain not add to it.
