Dr. Philip Goodwin, MD

Today he was the doctor on call for Caremount. He was rude and condescending when I called for advice regarding my husband's current condition, which has worsened. He would not tell me if I should go to the ER or not because he has not examined my husband. My husband's doctor hasn't yet gone over bloodwork taken a week ago as he was away, and he wouldn't review it to see if there were any concerning numbers that would warrant a trip to the ER with me because no waiver was signed, but neither with my husband because "he was on call for emergencies only." He told me I should decide if it was an emergency or not, with no input from him. Even if it was a stupid call, is that any way to speak to a concerned spouse or patient? I sometimes speak with overreactive, or overly concerned, or even rude parents, and I do not use the tone he took with me. After looking at other similar reviews this should not come as a surprise to Caremount, and they should terminate his contract.

Dr Goodwin and his staff are the worst team i have ever dealt with in my life. not only me but he spoke to my wife in a way that she walked out and said never again. This guy will discharge you as a patient regardless of your medical condition if he feels that you dont like him. Folks if you care about your health stay clear of this guy and caremount for that matter. and fellas if your wife sees him you should go with her. He talks to women like they are beneath him, but wont belittle a man ???? That should tell you something.. Just scroll the reviews folks you will see the common problems. Caremount you should be ashamed that you have a guy like this working for you.

Great dr who really cares and tells it to you straight been with him for over 8 yrs and his nurse Diana is great anytime I needed a prescription filled she was right on it and she really helped my wife out with getting a prescription refill from a different dr in the group Have great respect for both

Two visits. Nothing has gone well! I would not recommend this practice unless you enjoy being prematurely judged, told what to do and made to feel infantilized!

Dr. Goodwyn is fantastic. Mentioned several treatment options that other doctors failed to mention. Takes all concerns seriously. 100% pleased.

One of the worst doctors I’ve been too. I wouldn’t bring my dog to him. Very condescending and rude. You walk out of his office feeling worse, with no answers and get told that your symptoms are in your head. Went to another doctor after him who listened to my concerns and didn’t look at the computer the whole time and helped me. Caremount usually hires good doctors but he’s not one of them.

So condescending, dismissive, and belittling. Smugly laughed off my concerns, made it clear he didn't care about me or my health. Horrible bedside manner and one of the worst doctors I've ever met. How and why is this guy a physician? The nurses and MA's were a little better, but that isn't saying much. Switched PCP's after the first visit to a different physician also within the CareMount system since all my other doctors are there and am so glad I did.

Staff is friendly, but Dr. Goodwin is not very helpful. I went to him in November, after multiple tests(repeats), still no help. He orders the bare minimum for tests, so you are always left with questions. Then just suggests you see a specialist. Absolutely no help, just a waist of time.

Not a personable doctor. Seek help elsewhere. Seriously.

Horrible doctor. Once entering the examine room, his eyes were on his computer with a slight introduction, no hand shake, and immediately on the computer again.

Today was my first visit with Dr. Goodwin. I'm a 20 year old female. Dr. Goodwin listened to me and offered me good, sound advice and made me feel much better about all of my anxieties and issues. I would recommend him to anyone considering seeing him as their primary doctor.
