Not a great communicator, no guidance
Dr. Meinhardt needs to work on his presentation and listening skills. He might be very knowledgeable and good at what he does but I found him condescending. He didn't listen to my questions, I felt rushed. He disagreed with his personal Radiologist on some very important issues; two herniated disc's with nerve root compression turned into NO herniated disc's. I had to ask for an updated report afterwards. If your Senior Radiologist is that bad, he should be fired!! The only answer was 'you don't need surgery' but no guidance as to where to go from here. I'm getting a 2nd opinion

Spine no pain now
I was in so much pain and had tried everything from meds, steroids, nerve ablation, PT etc I had surgery and finally don’t have pain in the area. So glad. I understand some reviews about the personality. But surgeons have this personality. So it did not bother me. What I cared about is could he do the surgery and would I feel better. Surgery went great and I was walking in less than 24 hours with a walker. I went from a 10 out of 10 pain in lumbar area and after the spinal fusion to a zero in the area. To me I appreciated the results with no infection or complications.

Lower back surgery
Dr. Meinhardt is amazing. I have dealt with lower back pain for years caused by misaligned vertebrae, arthritis and pinched nerves. Dr. Meinhardt listened to me, carefully reviewed my MRI and thoroughly explained my condition. I was so impressed by Dr. Meinhardt that I immediately knew I would be in good hands for moving forward with surgery. I'm now 3 months out from my surgery and I feel wonderful...NO PAIN! I'm continuing with the PT offerred at Sforzo Sports Medicine and getting my body stronger than ever. Mark, who I have been meeting with for PT has been great. I have been very impressed with the entire medical staff. Everyone is professional, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. I couldn't be happier with my experience. Oh, and by the way...they also answer their phones!

Dr Meinhardt gave me my life back! Best Surgeon!
Even at 79 y. o. I was always very active, after 2 previous surgeries, the 2nd with no positive results my condition deteriorated to the point where I became hunch backed with a tremendous amount of pain in my lower back & the back of both legs. I couldn't stand, walk, or sit for any period of time. I was turned down by several back surgeons, after an exam by Dr Meinhardt, he stated "I can fix that", I expected the opposite & thanked him, then realized that he didn't refuse me asking "What did you say?" He again stated "I can fix that." I stated I was not prepared for that answer after being refused several times. He told me go home, think it over, let me know what you would like to do. It required little thinking, I called him upon my return home stating "let's do it" It was the best decision I ever made. Dr Meinhardt gave me my life back! After the surgery recovery period, Dr Meinhardt scheduled me for physical therapy, I'm a new man!, Back to my old self again but more cautious.

A waste of time
I am 84 years old and have had a few medical problems in my life. This was by far the worst doctor experience I have ever had. I have extensivce problems with my lumbar spine and all he did was point out previous surgeries and how any further surgery would be high risk. He didn't even recommend a mri to see what the present problem is. My past spine doctor who is now retired operated on me under the same conditions I have now and solved the problem which was a bad disc. I suspect there was a huge difference in skill levels based on my visit with Mienhardt

Worst experience ever!
Worst experience ever! First, he insisted that I had a tumor. This because he never looked at the second MRI with contrast. All the while, belligerent and condescending. And when he finally did look, proceeded to tell me how complicated this surgery was and the vital organs that could be affected. Finally, he announced he had a flight to catch and simply left the room With me still sitting there. Don’t know how this man is a doctor.

I was in extreme pain when I went to see Dr. Meinhardt. He diagnosed my disc problem, got me in quickly for an MRI, and then surgery. He was decisive, confident and operated with a sense of urgency. SFD also has in-house physical therapy which was great. I could not be more pleased with the care I received from Dr. Meinhardt and his staff and feel very lucky to have found them.

Surely the best medical practice we have ever attended and our meeting with Dr. Meinhardt was outstanding. He thoroughly explained the medical and physical issues and provided a conservative plan of action for us to follow. Couldn’t be more pleased with his approach and the caring attitude of the entire staff.

I may be facing a complex neurosurgical problem requiring sophistocatedn knowledge, and facility integrating many facets of neoro anatomy, and neuro pathology. I have found that few are willing to tackle complex surgical issues. Dr. Meinhardt is a caring, thorough, conscientious paracitioner who considers all aspects of patient presentation and health conditions. I have not yet pursued surgical procedure with him, yet I have every confidence that his care will be top notch, regardless of what options we pursue, based on our conversations, knowledge, and his bedside manner. I'll update as my treatment course unfolds. I feel confident that he will provide thorough, comprehensive care, regardless of the complexity of my problem..........

Rude. Called in to schedule an appointment and mentioned I had surgery 22 years ago. Scheduler insisted on obtaining all the records prior to scheduling an appointment. I arranged for the records to be sent to the office. I was told the Dr. reviewed them and declined my case. Rude is too nice of a word.

first time meeting as per primary recommendation. reviewed my condition and suggested surgery or injections. when questioned for other options, his response was that he could repeat himself at a later time over the phone but didn't have the time during my meeting. i was in shock at the diagnosis and treatment. no follow-up was suggested, no treatment was suggested with the exception of surgery or injections. left with a prescription for meds.
