The doctor patiently explained what was causing my pain and described a course of treatment. I like that he gave me realistic expectations about treatment options. After an epidural and lots of PT, my pain is somewhat diminished albeit still pretty awful. At my most recent appointment he prescribed a medication that might help with the pain, and i am hopeful.

Suffering from CRPS and he gave me hope
I have been suffering from CRPS for 3 years as well as Sjogren Syndrome and Cronic ITP. My goodness the pain I feel is unbelievable and nobody could help me. I have so many doctors and have been taking ketamine infusions from a different doctor who has been amazing but when I saw Dr Petrou gave me hope again that he could help me without hesitation. He is the only doctor that is willing to implant a Psm even with my other diagnosis He probably saved my life because I was losing faith and the pain was just too much. I was going through depression and hopeless until I saw him and he said he would do the procedure which I did not expect since all pain doctors pretty much gave up on me since I have itp but he set out to help me. We planned a course of treatment and is going to install a Psm as long as my platelets above 100 and god willing he thinks that that it will decrease my pain by 50%. No other dr would give me a chance but now I have hope that I can have some pain relief soon.

I walked into Dr. Petrou office in unbearable pain. What I like of Dr Petrou, he did not speculate of my injuries. His words 'let me see film b/f I say this or that' This speaks value of a True Dr. He came up with a plan and as I write this review I'm PAIN FREE!

Very professional
Dr. Phillip Petrou, MD. And his staff are very professional and courteous to all that walks into their office. I received a nerve block which at first I was very skeptical about doing. But after a very skilled and pinpoint procedure my serious and excruciating pain was reduced by about 50%.For those who are having misgivings concerning about choosing to have a nerve block procedure . Let my experience under the care of Dr. Phillip Petrou and his professional staff be an example.

He has great bed side manners, caring, flexiable, asks follo-up questions. Asks you for your concerns. Very patient and understanding. Everything doctors are supposed to be like, but most are not anymore due to spending more time charting and billing corrections. I'm so happy we found him! The best pain management doctor you can ask for!

Excellent
Dr. Petrou explained his process and left time to formulate and ask questions. He worked hand in hand with the surgeon to arrive at the best outcome. He managed my expectations and his input was in line with my own conclusions and those of other providers. I would recommend him to anyone with similar issues.
