Dr. Philip Rabito, MD

While I think Dr Rabito is a good doctor, he charges way too much for 6 minute phone calls in which he can sometimes be over one hour late to the appointment. I just got word that his prices are increasing by $100 a visit. He really cares if you’re weight loss patient so unless you are an UES person looking shed lbs, I’d go elsewhere and save yourself a lot of money.

Don’t go if you have actual health problems. Completely invalidates your entire medical history, acts like he knows better than you and all previous doctors and proceeds to give completely infactual advice. He uses his one method that’s “proven to work” because the “ guy you just saw lost x lbs in x months”. Solely focused on the numbers on the scale and nothing more. Reception staff was very kind though.

Dr. Philip Rabito is the best endocrinologist in New York City. He is the first doctor I've ever had to consistently monitor and treat my Hashimoto's thyroiditis over the years. Dr. Rabito is skilled at determining the proper dosage and follow up on changes such as weight loss and other issues for my thyroid maintenance. Dr. Phil, as I like to call him, has also helped me manage my weight loss. I've lost 40 pounds over the years with his supervision, accountability, and fine-tuning every step of the way to help guarantee weight loss goals, maintenance, and success. Dr. Rabito is also up on the latest medical research. He can break down the findings in layman's terms so you can apply them to the medical regimen he's prescribed for you. Most importantly, he is caring and loyal. A doctor who will never abandon you and your care. He follows through promptly when there's an issue and will help you figure it out until there's a diagnosis. I highly recommend Dr. Phil!

This is hands down one of the hardest reviews I’ll ever write. I was in bad shape when I met Dr. Rabito. I have had Crohn’s Disease for 16 years now. I met the doctor when I was literally dying in a hospital bed from a colon infection. We immediately connected, its not hard to tell when a doctor actually cares about you and from the first time I spoke with Dr. Rabito, it was clear he was doing everything possible to help me get better. I survived by my body was in bad shape. My quality of life was non-existent. My vitamin and nutrient levels were all out of whack and it was affecting pretty much all of my organs. I was fainting and blacking out daily. I remember telling my mother, this was probably as good as it would get. That wasn’t good enough for the doc though. He kept doing weekly blood work and tweaking everything I was taking until he got it just right. I just ended a 3 week cross country road trip and feel better than ever. Dr. Rabito is the best! I can't say enough about Dr. Rabito , he has helped be to lose 30 lbs so far. He is a very caring and concerned doctor. He is easy to talk to and willing to spend time with you answering any questions you may have. I was diagnosed with diabetes three years ago. Through a friend’s recommendation I sought the help of Dr. Rabito. It is difficult to find another doctor, let alone an endocrinologist who approached my case with thoroughness, knowledge and compassion. Although I live and work in Canada, I decided to have my regular check-up with Dr. Rabito. His staff are friendly and my appointment is always on time, but without rush. For the last year and a half, I lost almost 30lbs. and my energy level is back.
