Dr. Philip Schlager, MD

I am a flight attendant and he diagnosed a problem I was having with nasal and throat irritation that my primary care doctor could not figure out. I am so thankful I was referred to him and I think he's a genius and very nice person. :)

This doctor really care about every patient that comes through his office. On time, friendly, and explains every detail.

Great experience... he cauterized my nose bleed which has held for the many years since it was done. Nice receptionist.

Avoid him at all cost. I went for ear infections. Two doctors told me to see an ENT to find out why I have repeated ear infections. He was more concerned about a cough associated with pneumonia I had last year. He prescribed anti seizure medication. He did nothing for the reason I went to see him. I told him two doctors were concerned about the ear infections. His comment was, “I’m the ENT, they are not!” I wrote him a note to express my concerns of not addressing the ear issues. No response. The more I research the more I learn he is not a good doctor. I spoke to some friends in the medical profession afterwards and they told me they have only heard negative comments about him. So mine was added to the list. I should have researched him before going. That is my fault. I just want others to avoid.

Talking with Dr. Schlager is like running into a good friend on the street.

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a Doctors office. The receptionist was super rude. Dr. Schlager did not listen at all and he even up in the middle of me talking and ended my appointment. It was the end of the day, he must of had more important things to do. Horrible experience from beginning to end. I will say the nurse was very pleasant and personable.

Dr. Schlager was very through and took his time in explaining my issue. Because I am from out of town, he also went the extra mile. I highly recommend him. His staff was also very helpful in making arrangements for an MRA that I needed to have.

Dr Schlager pushed surgery unnecessarily. He also performed a fine needle aspiration test without ultrasound which is not the best way to perform the test. I've heard negative reports from friends since I had my own negative experience too.
