I saw this man one time and realized immediately
I saw him, he examined me very briefly and asked for my history. I told him I had been having a myriad of problems and he told me there was nothing wrong with me. When I told him that couldn't be correct as I had been bleeding heavily everyday for over a year straight, he immediately became frustrated with me. I began crying and he told me he didn’t understand why I would be upset when there was nothing wrong with me- without running any type of diagnostics. He repeatedly told me he didn’t understand why I was upset from the doorway. He literally had nothing but half his body in the room at this point to talk to me as I was sitting there half naked sobbing. I was not given the time of day from this man. Someone so completely cold and unwillingly to listen to a patient at all should have never been in medicine in the first place.

I walked out of my appointment with Dr. Sih I’m tears! I was having awful symptoms I wanted to have checked out. One of them was that I was experiencing what felt like morning sickness during my luteal phase. Once I said morning sickness he said to take a pregnancy test. I told him that I haven’t had penetrative sex in over a year and that pregnancy was not possible as I also have an IUD. He would not stop mentioning taking a pregnancy test. When I told him of my other symptoms they were brushed off and told to take a pregnancy test. He said the words pregnancy test about 25 times and even wrote a prescription for one and left. I quickly dressed and left before any of the staff could see the tears streaming down my face. I felt abused, unheard and most of all like this doctor could not have cared less about me as a patient. I booked an appointment with another practice immediately. It turns out that my IUD had moved. Once it was removed all of my symptoms were gone.

Cold
During my routine 13 week appointment, Dr Sih asked how I was feeling. I responded with “I’m still extremely tired” and his response was “stop working so much” which made me snap back and say “okay, you can tell my bosses that I need rest”. I was caught off guard. Then he proceed to do the fetal heart monitor, which was very brief. He spent 20-30 seconds right above my pubic bone and said he couldn’t get it and I needed to have the ultrasound tech check it out, you know “just in case there is a problem” I was anxious. He hurried me to walk down the hall and wait for her, who was in the middle of a scan. That scan took time. I could hear a few words and the couple inside had received devastating news. It felt like I waited a million years, it was maybe 30 minutes. The tech applied the gel and found my baby doing happy dances like nothing was wrong. She reassured me that it could happen again and not to be concerned because he was tucked away safely. He never saw me after this.

REVIEW IS FOR PRACTICE NOT DOCTOR-Practice used to be great but is horrible now. I'm a healthcare worker that deals w/ patients on a daily basis so I'm usually very patient with doctors' offices but I'm switching to another practice right after I give birth. Most of the nurses that answer the nurses line are extremely rude & condescending. Even if you are calling with severe problems(pregnant with infection symptoms, severe pain, post hospitalization urgent follow up) they talk down to you & do not take you seriously. One refused to ask a doctor his opinion when I had bleeding while pregnant so I had to call on call doctor for help after hours. Office staff do not return calls usually for about a week even if you leave several messages. It's almost impossible to get through on the phone. Half of on call doctors are ob/gyns that are working in the hospital & have no access to your records or medical history. Billing is horrible too since Jefferson took over. Many patients are leaving!

Dr. Sih saw me for a routine prenatal visit in my third trimester when my primary OB was unavailable. He didn't introduce himself, stood by the door the entire time, and then when it was time to measure my belly, didn't explain what he would be doing. I asked some questions about my upcoming medically-necessary induction, and he completely dismissed them, saying one of my questions was "too early to ask", despite me being within a month of delivery.

He was extremely rude. He barley walked i the door and spent less than 5 minutes with me. When I asked him a question he looked visibly annoyed, answered with two words and walked out.

I find Dr. Sih to be incredibly professional and thorough. He may appear to be gruff but he is all business and I mean that in the best way possible. He is there to make sure you are healthy, comfortable, and provides straightforward answers about concerns. I had concerns about scheduling a C-section for my second pregnancy and had a previous appointment with another doctor and all I received was indignation and serious attitude while Dr. Sih worked with me to make the best decision.
