Traumatic
The staff is lovely. The nurses are kind. But in 3 years as a patient, I mostly saw a PA who seemed he rarely read my file or remembered me when he came in the room, usually 30 minutes late, and tended to describe my problems as my fault. The doctor never seemed to listen or take me seriously, leading me to doubt myself. In the hospital he just seemed annoyed, in a hurry, and lacking compassion. The nurses avoided saying he would follow up with me as he promised to do because I found out he usually doesn’t, and he didn’t. I believe he required me to have appointments and tests unnecessarily to collect copays. I kept going because he had a good reputation and it was difficult to get appointments elsewhere. Finally, my stent removal was supposed to take under an hour. It was more than and incredibly painful, mostly because they insisted on trying 4-5 times without a cystoscopy, then finally admitting I needed a cystoscopy. So I would urge friends to go elsewhere.
What went well
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Listened & answered questions
  • Staff friendliness
  • Appointment wasn't rushed
What could be improved
  • I didn't feel respected
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Didn't trust the provider's decisions
  • Long wait times

Very Personable
Went to see the doctor for routine test that I had never had done by a cardiologist. He was very personable and easy to talk to. I was just put off by the condition of the exam room. I was badly in need to be cleaned, painted etc. I was considering leaving because of this while waiting for the doctor, I stayed and so far am comfortable to my treatment and test done.

Dr. Weintraub is the one doctor I adore. I do not say that lightly. I have high blood pressure which only goes lower when I see him (no meds). He has a calming presence and in many ways treats your medical symptoms as well as "your head" at the same time. He knows his patients and understands on how to get you well not just from a medical standpoint but also based on how your personality is. He is our family doctor. I trust this man.
