Negligent
Thankfully this doctor is now retired but not before blatantly lying to my face telling me that the fracture in my tibia was healed and all hardware was intact. I never saw the x ray at the time but months later went to a competent surgeon to find out that it was NOT healed and many screws were broken!

Terrible Doctor
I had a terrible experience with this doctor. For my first appointment for a possible herniated disc/sciatica, he spent 5 minutes with me and prescribed steroids and an anti inflammatory that didnt do a thing. I ended up resorting back to 800 mg of ibuprofen to get through my day. Follow up appointment was literally 1 minute, 29 seconds (yes, I timed it). He didn't listen or give any opportunity for questions or explain how bad my pain is (though I get the impression he doesn't care anyway). There are points in my day that I want to cry from the sciatic pain. He was condescending and spoke over me when I finally got a word in. I feel like he wrote me off before he even walked into the room. I wanted to get a MRI to know what it going on and he repeatedly denied me one saying that insurance requires physical therapy before getting a MRI. I called my insurance and they stated that was not true for my plan. Needless to say, I will not go back. I have already found another doctor.

Not sure what the previous low ratings were about. Dr. Wilcox was very professional, answered all of our ankle surgery questions, and performed a successful surgery and followup. You're not here to go to a cocktail party with the doctor, you want someone who knows their field and that is him!

Dr. Wilcox did not appear to care about my condition and was very rude and abrupt. He did not want to hear about my health concern. I totally wasted my time and insurance on him. I do not recommend him to anyone.

The worst doctor I’ve ever had in my life. Extremely insensitive, uncaring and impatient. I went to him after being referred from the emergency room after a patellar dislocation. He made my pain so much worse from the aggressive yanking he was doing on my leg. He spent all of 2 minutes with me and told me I shouldn’t be having any limitations with my leg. Though I haven’t been able to bare any weight, dress myself or do anything on my own but apparently he thinks he’s smarter than what my body is actually feeling. I left his office in tears from the pain and yet he ignored them and didn’t ask if I needed anything or even to ask why I was crying. He told me he wanted to see me back in 3 weeks but when the secretary was scheduling my next appointment, I told her I never wanted to see him again. She was very sweet and helped us out with getting another doctor. I got the impression that she wasn’t surprised I was so unhappy with Dr. Wilcox, almost like she sees multiple complaints. If I co

Might be great with other orthopedic areas but steer clear if you need acl reconstruction done. Not good at listening, and you need to ask a lot of questions to find out specifically what the scans showed. For what needed surgery to correct he is a fan of the wait and see approach. Wait for more damage to incur no thanks. Knows a lot of older ways to deal with acl reconstruction but not a lot about newer ways that are better.

I was disappointed with my experience with Dr. Wilcox. He did not fully listen to me, prescribed me medications without telling me what they were or what they were for, and stated I would need to go to physical therapy without telling me exactly why. When I proposed the idea of seeing a chiropractor for my pain instead of medication he treated me like a child. I will not be back and am seeking a second opinion

Terrible doctor. He is arrogant and has zero compassion. Makes you feel like he’d rather be anywhere then with you. I deeply regret having gone to him. His claim that I would be out of pain after my surgery was completely false. After over two weeks, I still cannot walk under my own power and I am still in great pain. His attitude was Oh well.

Dr. Wilcox spent only a few minutes with me at my appointments. I had a shattered fifth metatarsal and was only in a cast for 6 days. I voiced my concern over improper healing and pain, but he looked at the x-rays and decided I was fine. I have had to go to a foot specialist and will be having surgery to repair the malunion. In addition, i have hip and knee pain due to the lack of proper care. The receptionist was rude at every visit, and no one ever asked me about medications or allergies.
