Dr. Phillip Edmonds, MD

Dr. Edmonds has been my primary physician for nearly 20 years. He is knowledgeable, patient, honest, and kind. Everything you would ask for from a doctor!

Dr. Edmonds has been my 93 year old mother's doctor for the past 14 years. He has always been so wonderful with her! He has such a kind and caring manner, not to mention a great wit. He is one of the best doctors she has ever been to, very thorough!

Until Prisma took over the practice, Dr. Edmonds. nor his staff, wore a mask during the pandemic. He was very dismissive about Covid and volunteered that he has not been vaccinated. He was also unprofessional in bringing politics into the conversation about high blood pressure.

Dr. Edmonds is good at encouraging me to do what I need to do for my health. I look forward to the A+ he is going to give me when I visit him again in June of 2022.

I have had a few completely different experiences with Dr. Edmonds, so take my review how you will: The first time I was visiting him to receive a prescription for birth control. I ended up getting a prescription, but not without the doctor lecturing me about how sex is only safe and responsible in a committed relationship, which he made clear is only marriage. The second experience I had was when I was very sick with the flu. He was very friendly and wonderful this time around. The third time I visited him with an infection, and again he was very friendly and professional. However, completely unprompted he gave me a rant about how he doesn't believe COVID is any more dangerous than the flu. Obviously, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, but I felt it was irresponsible that the entire staff were not wearing masks and he felt comfortable expressing this to his patient. Overall, I think he is a competent doctor. However, some might find his conservative views uncomfortable.

Dr. Edmonds was the on-call weekend Dr. and called my number back after I called my Dr.'s answering service. I had Covid and was really sick. He gave me about 60 sec. of his valuable time and had no concern or empathy whatsover. I asked if he ever prescribed hydroxicloriquine or any of the other Covid discussed drugs, as I had a friend that felt they really helped him get better. His response, "everyone gets better". Shocked, I tried to ask a follow up question, and he said it is Saturday, I am with my wife, call your regular Dr. on Monday. You have got to be kidding me! I was bothering God.

very pleasant to work with

I had gone to several doctors and Dr. Edmonds was the only doctor that listened to me and tried a new medicine that changed my life. My severe reflux was causing other problems. When I ran out because my insurance would only cover so much he told me just to call him and he would make sure I was always covered with the medicine. The office staff is wonderful, always working me in no matter what time of the day when I have been sick.

Seemed nice enough at first, but a little arrogant. I had side effects with the antibiotics that he prescribed for me. When I called to talk to him about it, he basically told me that it was all in my head and to deal with it because it would be short term. I couldn't function and every joint in my body hurt. Plus, he wasn't sure that I even had what he prescribed the medicine for! He was guessing.... I only saw him once and will not be returning!

Dr. Edmonds provides very thoughtful and thorough healthcare. He is sensitive to people's needs. He is also a Christian doctor which I appreciate very much. He always comes into the room with a smile on his face. I am also impressed by the fact that he uses high-technology to keep all facts and data together about each patient. Plus he is cute. And that does not hurt. Thank you Dr. Edmonds for being as wonderful as you are.
