Dr. Phillip Jensen, DMD

kept getting a recording to "call back during normal business hours" even though I was calling during the business hours stated in the recording, today I just stayed on the line for an operator and when I explained that I have a referral from my daughters dentist for an oral surgeon I was told I have to contact my regular dentist, I stated that made no sense, I just said I had a referral to an oral surgeon from my regular dentist and was looking to make an appointment with an oral surgeon, is this an oral surgeons office? She stated she could not give me that information due to "protocol", but didn't have a really good reason or direct answer as to why I have to contact my regular dentist or why she can't tell me if I've reached the office of an oral surgeon. A simple "we aren't taking new patients" or more information on why I'm being told to contact my regular dentist when I'm not looking for a regular dentist, I'm looking for an oral surgeon, would have been more helpful.

The Office Financial Policy is a joke! So the policy states that "at the time of consultation insurance coverage is discussed and that their office staff will ("attempt") to contact insurance company to determine what's covered under your policy. Then an "estimate" for payment by insurance will be given. Then you are required to pay 1/2 of the balance". Ok, this is all fine and dandy but his billing department never attempted to contact either of our insurance companies and he charged us 1/2 upfront for the total bill. It has been 3 months since my child has his teeth removed and we recently received a bill from Dr. Jensen for the remaining balance (before any insurance credits). Our insurance has covered all charges, Phillip Jensen now owes us $2,000. They were sure quick to take our money up front though. Sorry Dr. Jensen, you should find a new billing process because your current one is a joke!
