Dr. Phillip Penny, DO

He is great. He did my knee replacement surgery and will be doing my shoulder replacement surgery. I would recommend him for any one looking to have a joint replacement. He listens to your questions and concerns. He puts you at ease. Working with Ft Wayne Orthopedics for my joint replacement made this stressful surgery less stressful for me and my family. The nurses in the Surgery Center in Warsaw are also awesome.

Dr Penney is one of the kindest doctors I've ever been to. He is so patient and genuinely wants to help his patients feel better.Dr Penney did total knee replacements in both of my knees. I couldn't have asked for a more caring and informative doctor. He made sure that I knew what was happening step by step and checked in on me to make sure that I was doing ok.Dr Penney and his staff go above and beyond to make sure that each one of his patients are made to always feel welcome and important.

Dr. Penny took every opportunity to go above and beyond to help during less than ideal circumstances. From being willing to “schedule me in” for surgery even if it meant staying late or coming in early to calling on a Sunday to check in after surgery, his compassion, knowledge and skill is unparalleled. I would 100% trust his medical advice as well as recommend his services to anyone in need of orthopedic care.

I had total hip replacement 4 weeks ago and I had NO physical therapy at all! He was very thorough, gave me all of the information I needed to be successful and I was walking that first day. I used a walker for a few days but it wasn’t really necessary, just a precaution. He is quick in surgery and always on time. A+++! I highly recommend him for any major orthopedic surgery!

Dr Penny is personable and, most importantly, an excellent surgeon. I had my first PKR and had outstanding results. I’m looking forward to getting the same procedure done on my other knee.

Very caring and professional

This group has been beyond excellent. Someone is always there by phone without having to push 10 buttons before speaking to a human. Very supportive before and after surgery. Dr Penny and Courtney NP provided education and asked several times if I had any questions before both knee surgeries and after surgeries. There is a daily checking line after surgery for about 17 days where your pain, emotional status and continued education on DVT is provided. I’d have to say 2 thumbs up and more. Continue to do exactly what you all have been doing. If I ever have orthopedic issues in the future this is the group I’ll use again. BTW I’m from Ga and I stayed in Indiana specifically for this group due to others recommending them.

Dr Penny is a great Doctor. He tried everything he could do to keep me from having surgery, but it just didn't work out. He takes time to explain things to you. And he and his staff are there if I had/have any questions or need anything. I know several people who have him as a doctor and they all like him.

Dr. Penny has done a great job with my injuries. I have more than 1 surgery by Dr. Penny. Courtney is a great asset to his team. The pre-op labs and tests need to be checked well in advance. They should be reviewed as soon as the results come in.

Dr. Penny and his staff are extremely helpful, professional, and treat the patient as though that's the only patient they have. They answer questions in a manner that is understood. They are awesome!!

I would highly recommend Dr. Penny. He is very friendly and you can feel that he cares about you and getting you well. His Staff is also fabulous and very helpful and friendly and they make you feel like you are important as a person and just not a patient..

Great experience with Dr. Penny!

Dr. Penny diagnosed and surgically treated me for a total Rotator Cuff failure together with damage to the bicep and bursitis. Throughout this difficult experience Dr. Penny proved his education, experience and skills to achieve a successful outcome plus all the while exhibiting professionalism. His straight forward communication and knowledge is appreciated and gave me confidence.

I was very well taken care of. Everyone was courteous and I was always greeted with big smiles. Everyone was also very concerned about my well being.

Friendly but knows what he is talking about , his staff is great also. I texted his office about my calf pain, his nurse called me, I explained my pain, she talk to Dr Penny and he sent me to the ER for an ultra sound immediately.

Dr. Penny and his team are very thorough and always make sure you don't have any questions unanswered. Excellent care and bedside manner!

I'm only 10 days into recovery but the services by Dr. Penny, his staff, and the staff of KCH has been more than exceptional so far. My shoulder is getting better every day! Great people are making my life much better!
