Excellent eye doctor
Dr. Wu answers questions thoroughly, spends an appropriate amount of time with me as a patient, and explained risks and benefits of cataract surgery if needed. His office staff is welcoming and helpful as well.

After moving I decided to find an ophthalmologist closer to my home in Evanston. I'm so glad that I did. Dr. Wu and his staff were friendly and thorough and gave me strong feeling of confidence. In addition to the examinations that I was used to they took what seemed like high tech photos of my eyes ("look at the 'X' in the viewer then be prepared for a blinding flash"). Dr. Wu spent a comfortable amount of time with me, and with my family history of glaucoma has urged me (at 65) to get checked every 6 months (vs. the 2 year program I was previously under). I was positively surprised with every aspect of the visit including finding a way to see me when I came on the wrong day.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Wu, since I switched from my former ophthalmologist in the Loop. Dr. Wu is very professional and personable. His staff has done a good job as well. As a bonus, I've never had to wait very long past my scheduled appointment time. During this era of COVID-19, they seem to be taking all necessary precautions.

I have been seeing Dr. Wu for more than ten years and find him to be an excellent ophthalmologist. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and very caring, and he answers all questions clearly. He has treated me for multiple eye problems and informs me about what I need to do to best care for my eyes and vision. I highly recommend Dr. Wu.

Professional and caring ophthalmologist. Very kind. Whenever I've had a problem, he calls right back, even on Wednesday, his day off. Recommend highly.

I needed a new glasses prescriptions. Dr. Wu told me that I have a serious problem with my eye and I may need a surgery. He referred me to another doctor and denied me the new glass perception, because “it will not help”. Other doctor told me that no need for surgery. In my third visit I’ve got the prescription, which appeared to be incorrect! At the last visit his technician told me that she is not competent enough to get correct readings for my eyes and I need to go to another optometrist!

First visit to this doctor after previous doctor retired. Had to wait over 30 minutes while the staff entered my info into their ancient computer. Assistant had me read eye chart and tested for glaucoma. Doc spent a few minutes checking interior eyes, then sent me off. No one measured by eyes for the right prescription, and then no one responded to my follow-up email. Will not return.

My son has an eye condition that could be life altering. My first instinct was to call dr wu. There is no one I would trust more than him with my son and the appropriate diagnosis and potential treatment. His staff was extremely professional, provided great care in getting an appointment as early as we could. I would trust him with all of my children's eyes and my own. We are respectful of his time, and are fortunate to see him on short notice.
