Great Doctor
I feel that I have received great care from Dr.Polly David. I had double pneumonia and sepsis. She visited me everyday while I was in the hospital and showed me nothing but kindness and compassion and concern. Thank you, Dr. David

I’m a critical care RN and drove my adult ER RN daughter to her appointment. She contracted COVID 8 months ago at work. Workmen’s Comp referred her to Dr. David because she’s had low grade fevers and diaphoresis for a month, which they check before she works. Dr. David had 1 review on numerous sites, which was suspect. Dr. David didn’t look in my daughter’s ears, which was one of her complaints. She kept saying that nothing was known about COVID long haulers, when medical journal articles on long haulers have been published for months. She admitted my daughter is the first long haul patient she’s seen. My daughter had numerous printed and bookmarked medical articles to discuss and/or give her. When she asked if Dr. David if she was keeping up with the literature on long haulers, Dr. David replied she wasn’t there to be insulted. She basically said it was up to my daughter when she returned to work, ordered CMV and EBV virus labs and that’s it. Numerous symptoms weren’t addressed.

Upon discovering I was the first patient this doctor had with my diagnosis, I asked her if she was up to date on the latest research. She replied "I'm not here to be insulted by you." She was obviously offended by her own lack of knowledge, and did not address any of my complaints aside from trouble sleeping (related to 35 days of fever and sweating), to which she stated I should go see a psychiatrist. Ratings and comments are turned off and unavailable for her on Mercy's website. I will be reporting her to the state medical board. I am a medical professional and have never been so appalled by a provider (and professionally, I have encountered plenty of bad providers, never have I felt the need to report a physician before now.) and have never encountered such difficulty locating any reviews on a physician. When you have been in practice for many years and have only 1 review (5 stars of course) to be found something is not right.
