Dr. Polly Steinberg, MD

I met Polly Steinberg when I was a teenager and young woman. I had severe bruising throughout my body, which I was to learn many years later had to deal with emotional stress, but she showed immense empathy towards me and my situation, and took great interest in promoting my well-being, following up on visits, which had raised some concerning information with phone calls and referrals and recommendations and even good personal advice about what I could do to ameliorate my life. I was being severely emotionally abused, and well, she didn't actually spell that out, I think she knew it, and her level of concern was actually one of the things that made me reflect and ultimately realize it myself. I will never forget her courage. She stood out amongst all the doctors I knew as a child and young woman for somebody who really cared and had the courage to advocate for me and express honest concerns about what she saw.
