Extremely Disappointed
I’ve been seeking assistance for worsening health over the last couple years. It has been a brutal, expensive, and utterly frustrating process. I’m already receiving effective general practice and psychiatric treatment for other relevant conditions. I came specifically for a baseline neurologic assessment and hopefully a scan at some point. There is enough evidence of TBI and troubling symptoms to warrant this. Advocating for myself and stating outright what my goal for treatment was is huge for me. I’ve never really reached for help like this until I became absolutely non-functioning.I was met with cold disinterest and an utterly dismissive attitude to my physical symptoms. Dr. Dave took 2 phone calls, one discussing vacation. When not on the phone he was scrolling on his computer or phone for nearly the whole duration of our appointment. Despite the list of symptoms and current diagnoses I wrote out, I was given a medication for sleep. Which has not been an issue lately.

Very rude
He was my Neurologist for many years at the Westminster location. During Covid when a lot of healthcare jobs were making it mandatory to get the covid vaccine and at the time I was working at Express Care. I made an appointment to go over it with him to get excused from taking it since I didn't feel comfortable getting it with my Epilepsy. He told me that he is not going to excuse me and that everything is fine with the vaccine. My mom was at the appointment with me, and she asked, 'well what if something does happen' and he goes ' well if she was driving and had a seizure and killed a family you can come back to my office and say I told you so.' We then got up and walked out and that was the last time we saw him. He is very unprofessional and very rude, and his receptionist is not any better.

Disrespectful and Rude
Dr. Dave is very rude, disrespectful and arrogant. He came to see me while I was inpatient at Meritus Hospital recently. I have dealt with him before and he has always been very pushy well this time he took it even further by screaming at me and called me ungrateful and this was done in front of my nurse at the time. This was in part to him insisting that I leave against medical advice and go to where my neurosurgeon was in Baltimore I told him I had no way to get there he was so forceful that he offered to pay my way there in an Uber. Because I knew something was wrong with my shunt I accepted the offer well when he came to see me in the hospital this last visit he called me ungrateful because I wasn’t agreeing with him. He is a horrible person that acts like a child when you disagree with him.

Tried to extort 80$ extra out of me during my visit just to get medication for seizures. Claimed that he does not make any money off of the co-pay of my insurance and told me I do not understand my health insurance. I refused to pay him an extra 80$ on top of my co-pay for the visit so he ( A full-time private practice doctor) could make a little money on the side. I am an in-network patient and I am only required to pay for a co-pay. Only decided to give me my prescription for my medication after I told him to refund my co-pay and got up to leave. Disrespectful, Inappropriate, and a disgraceful quack to neurologists.

I have seen Dr Dave for 3 years and have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately Dr Dave just does not seem to care about my conditions, or have any idea of how to help me. He just shrugs his shoulders. He is always distracted and sorting through his mail as i talk to him. Once he did not even show up for the day and had an office full of patients and a receptionist who did not know where he was.

Dr. Dave causes me great concern. In my wife case - diagnosed dementia - he called me late one evening and tried to convince me that the symptoms I had noted on my wife were impossible to occur. He claimed that his years of experience as a Neurologist gave him insights that made him certain my wife's symptoms could never occur. He also has the highly disturbing habit of asking a question and then interrupting constantly, in a rude and condescending manner, when the other person attempts to provide an answer. I told him that all my experience shows that insight comes from answers to logical, relevant questions. His questions are neither. Then he prescribed a strong Statin dose for her when there was no history of dislipidemia and all of her blood work has ALWAYS shown that her LDL, HDL and total Cholesterol are well within the normal range. No consideration of need vs. adverse side effects of Statins appears to have been given. How does this individual retain a medical license?

I Have always had a good Dr/Patient relationship with Dr. Dave. Yes he sometimes is behind schedule however thats due to either being on call and getting started late due to going to hospital prior to starting at office and he also takes his times and listens to you. I feel he is A caring Dr and I enjoy seeing him. Sincerely, Teresa Brumbaugh

Awful. Was late for every single appointment, sometimes doesn't even have a secretary in the office. Brushed off my chronic pain as fibromyalgia and did told me to just 'learn to deal' with my tremors.

The worst doctor I have ever seen! He never did a physical exam and yet he diagnosed me! He never looked at my records but he stated that he can tell what’s wrong with a patient just by looking from afar! Dr. Dave is rude, condescending, disrespectful, and truly a waste of a medical license! My appointment was for 12:30pm and I waited an hour and a half to be seen, only to be rushed out!

Waited for almost 2 hours past appt time to be seen. Office very disorganized, could not find paperwork. Seems rushed due to limited time in that local office. Did not want to listen to my symptoms, had a preconceived opinion of what I should be feeling. On follow up, shuffled papers around desk until I provided a copy of MRI results. Did not want to make a recommendation after reviewing MRI results, deferred to ortho that sent me these. Prescribed meds and asked me to follow up, why bother?
