Wow, I am so grateful to have found Dr. Prakash Maniam. I have never written a review for a doctor before, but I felt compelled to write this review for those wondering if Dr. Prakash Maniam is a great doctor. My father had been dealing with prostate issues for almost a year, but he was not receiving the best care. All that changed when he moved to Florida and found our 'miracle' in the person of Dr. Prakash Maniam. I am so impressed with his bedside manners. He saw my dad as an individual and not just a number. My father had a successful surgery, and Dr. Prakash Maniam kept us informed throughout the process. He was present when we met with him to discuss the surgery. Dr. Maniam listened and gave us his recommendations. He treated us with compassion and respect. He was empathetic. It is not easy these days to find a doctor who cares. I assure you that you will receive the best care from Dr. Prakash Maniam and his team.

From the call to setup my first appointment….all the way through my biopsy and diagnosis….Dr. Maniam and his staff have been exceptional throughout the process in every way. Dr Maniam performed a prostectomy on my husband & we are both pleased with his attention & caring attitude. He told us what was happening & what risks were. We appreciated a doctor who explained the procedure & what to expect in recovery. Highly recommend for urology issues.

I had a kidney stone which caused severe infection and went to the emergency room. Luckily, Dr. Maniam was on duty and scheduled emergency surgery to place a stint to open up the urine flow. It was Sunday, but he assembled a surgical team within the hour. My infection had become sepsis and I was near critical. A week later after the infection had cleared, Dr. Maniam removed the kidney stone and I have fully recovered. Dr. Maniam was one of the kindest and most thorough doctors I have ever encountered. He was caring, effective and is an expert in his field. If it wasn't for Dr. Maniam, I may have not been around to write this review. He has my utmost gratitude, respect and is highly recommended.

I am a respiratory therapist of 28 years, which still works for HCA. I found Dr. manium to be very kind and compassionate. We discussed BPH and all the treatment's. We talked about the medications and surgical procedures. I didn't fell rushed or under pressure to choose my treatment plan. My drive was a 4 hour round trip to see him. This was well worth the time. My only regret was that i didn't choose him several years ago. In addition, his nurse, Brittany, was the best nurse i have worked with this past year. A few of her strengths are professional, kind, intelligent. Brittany has a gentle touch when performing medical procedures! HCA could model her caring ways. I am sure their satisfaction scores would improve greatly. Truly everyone in that medical office is really kind. Dr. Manium, you should be very proud of you team! Respectfully yours, John, RRT

Having Dr.Maniam as my urologist was a blessing.I highly recommend Dr. Maniam to anyone looking for a truly great Doctor. I am so thankful for the care I received from Dr.Maniam and his excellent staff.He really cares about his patients and takes the time to explain your situation.Dr.Maniam made me feel at ease with his kind and caring manner.

Appointment made over a month ago for a Friday, that just happened to be on Labor Day weekend was cancelled 2 days prior because the stated "we have surgery scheduled that day". What office keeps such a poor track of their schedules that they don't know when the Dr will be there? Rescheduling with a different provider and will never recommend this office to anyone.

Absolutely fabulous surgeon and doctor. Kind and compassionate, he really tries to understand you and is very efficient and timely as a surgeon. I had a very positive experience. Got through surgery and I am peacefully recovering at home. Very efficient with tasking, getting things done and returning calls. My only suggestion at the practice would be to have a front end girl that is as efficient and an email contact on the webpage so that patients could leave a question or need request for the next day so that the physician on call does not have to be bothered and the girls can handle things in the early a.m. My internal medicine specialist Dr. Sultan Rahaman has that available and it works quite well all the way around. Mina upfront there is the shining example.

Dr. Maniam is a very competent urologist. My experience there was professional. I am a Cigna insurance carrier, and my urine sample was sent to Pacific Edge Diagnostic for what Cigna considers an experimental test and denied the claim. Now I'm being hounded by Pacific Edge to pay $3000 for something Dr. Maniam and his office should have known that Cigna wouldn't cover. Instead of admission of their mistake, his office had Pacific Edge call me to 'work out a payment plan'... That's not right and insulting. I did not authorize Dr. Maniam to go outside my insurance coverage for a basic urine test. I'm so upset and disappointed.

Office was clean and staff was friendly. Dr. Maniam was professional, explained his thoughts and opinions very clearly and I felt comfortable with his decisions and conclusions. Asked questions and listened well.

Dr Maniam is my urologist and he performed an operation called Green Light Laser Therapy to correct a condition I had due to an enlarged prostate which was causing urinary flow obstruction. I was having great difficulty emptying my bladder and this resulted in a challenging every day lifestyle which eventually led to major health issues. Dr. Maniam proved to be incredibly proficient in his line of work. The procedure corrected my problem and I am now urinating like a teenager again. Dr. Maniam proved to have great expertise and I am very thankful for the care he gave me. He also was very attentive after the procedure and was there to explain the recovery steps to make the process a success. I recommend him without reservation as he is at the top of his field with the work that he does. His staff was also very pleasant to deal with. Thank you again Dr. Maniam and staff!
