Dr. Desai and his Team far exceeded my expectations. From day one they were kind, empathic, and compassionate. I have been impressed with Watson Clinic as a whole, especially with their providers.

From beginning to end, Dr. Desai and his staff are professional, capable, and kind. I especially appreciative his nurse Tabitha who had to do extra work to satisfy my insurance company. I'm thrilled with the outcome of my hip replacement.

There isn’t a single bad thing I can say. Everything went as perfect as possible. I had an ACL reconstruction and he cleaned up two meniscus tears. The scheduling of appointments, completing pre-op, actual surgery, and post-op all went smoothly. He, his PA, and the nurses (office nurses and the surgical team) were all incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The office is easy to reach and very helpful. The procedure was explained well and all of my questions were answered. My surgical incisions are healing nicely and there were no complications. I will recommend him without hesitation. Dr. Desai and his team are wonderful.

Had a full knee replacement from Dr. Desai. From my 1st appointment and all subsequent follow up visits, Dr. Desai and his team were outstanding. No more than a 5 min wait before being called back for every single appointment. Their coordination for every detail of what to expect and the timeline for each step were incredibly helpful, from beginning to end no stone was left unturned. His entire staff is exceptional in all aspects of healthcare. Highly recommend!

Dr. Desai was highly recommended by a personal physical therapist, who had worked with several of his patients. My initial meeting was very informative regarding the surgical process, the recovery timeframe, and normal methods of pain management.

I just hit my one year knee Anniversary! I’m so thankful that Dr. Desai said yes to doing my surgery. After 5 years of excruciating pain I was desperate. I was told I had to wait until I was 60! I was only 52 and so thankful for him and Cody. He’s always been informative and kind anytime I’ve seen him. Defiantly a talented surgeon that when and if I need more surgery will be my go to.

I have had 2 different surgeries with Dr. Desai and I would not go to anyone else. My rotator cuff repair was great and after therapy has not given me any trouble at all. He may not have a bubbly personality, but very nice and extremely good qualifications are what I consider make a good doctor. He paid attention, listened and answered all my questions. He also performed a complete knee replacement 1 year ago. He said it would take about a year for full recovery and he was exactly right. He and his staff, from the receptionists to the nurses, are so wonderful. Waiting time was short but time with the doctor was as long as I had questions and as long as I needed him. For great results and treatment, go to Dr. Desai - for overly friendly and probably not as competent - go to the other quacks out there. Dr Desai is highly recommended by all of my friends who have and do use his services.

Dr. Desai and his staff were excellent. They answered all of my questions, responded quickly with any needs and were excellent with regards to my knee replacement. The surgery went well, my recovery has been much faster than expected. I would recommend Dr. Desai to anyone needing an orthopedic surgeon in the Lakeland and surrounding area.

This was the worst doctor experience I have had in 66years. He only wants to do total hip replacement without offering any other solutions. Said immediately we can’t help only surgery when I’m ready. Never offered injection or physical therapy until I told him I researched it and there was other options available. He asked me what. Are you kidding he was the doctor. He is arrogant and condisending . First doctor I ever argued with and I walked out. Stay away,

Dr Desai replaced my hip. I liked that he came into my room prior to surgery to check on me. At my follow up visits, he has listened to my issues and deals with them to my satisfaction. He seems to be a man of few words. That’s okay. He’s a great surgeon. I highly recommend him.

For over 20 years I’ve increasingly lost mobility due to severe arthritis. Dr. Desai is an excellent surgeon who replaced both my knees. He and his staff made sure I knew what to expect before, during and after knee replacement. They’ve always been available to answer any questions I’ve had. I’m delighted with the outcome of both knee replacements. I’m at 8 weeks post surgery, I can get up from a chair without pain and walk to the mailbox as if I’d never had knee problems! I faithfully do my exercises and scar therapy everyday. I’m walking like I did 30 years ago and it’s wonderful. No more arthritis pain. I’m overjoyed and recommend this great doctor to anyone sick of dealing with crippling arthritis. Just follow the instructions and ice, exercise and other instructions given. I followed his instructions and don’t even need a cane anymore. If I sound over-enthusiastic it’s because he’s given me my life back. I thank dr Desai and his staff for my great recovery. Thank you, Dr. Desai!

After talking with the Dr. in his office on 3 separate visits finally had a Reverse Shoulder Replacement on 6/22/2021 can’t thank him and his Staff enough after 7 weeks of rehab and still continuing for another 5 weeks I strongly recommend Dr. Desai for his expertise and professionalism to live a pain free life.

I would give Dr. Desai 0 stars if I could. It was by far the worst interaction with a doctor that I have ever had. He doesn’t look at you when he talks to you. He does not want to hear about your symptoms or pain. He has attitude and 0 compassion. One of the rudest doctors I have ever seen. Couldn’t even look me in the eye. I’m only writing this to save the next patient from having such a horrible disheartening experience. When you’re in pain, and your quality of life has diminished greatly, this is the last person you want to see. I, unfortunately, had to endure such an unpleasant experience. Don’t put yourself through this because when you are in a horrible amount of pain, you don’t need to see someone like this. It’s truly unfortunate that he’s allowed to treat patients this way. I have no idea why he became a doctor. Trust me when I say, if a doctor can’t look you in the eyes, listen to you or communicate....this is not someone you can trust with your well being.

Had Rotator Cuff surgery in Feb. 2019. I am still having complications from the surgery. Swollen hand and pain in my elbow. Both problems showed up right after the surgery. Desai did not show up for 2 out of 3 appointments. The appointment he did show up for he did not even look at the shoulder. The PA and the Hand Doctor said that the problems would diminish. They have not! Desai had no bed side manner before or after the surgery. I asked him about severe headaches after the surgery and he said "I am not a headache doctor". I asked him about my hand pain and swelling and he said "That should not happen, put some ice on it". Remember surgeons get paid for cutting on you and not making appointments after the surgery.

Dr Desai performed a labrum tear repair and arthroscopy on my shoulder and it was 100% a success. I was pain free within 6 weeks and 2 months out, back to normal life. My shoulders never felt better. Minimal scarring to boot. I highly recommend him for any orthopedic treatment.

I had my left knee replaced 6 weeks ago. Everything went well. I am now back to swimming and exercising. Dr. Desai is an excellent surgeon. He explained everything clearly and put me totally at ease. His nurse, Tabitha, was also helpful with questions I had. The procedure could not have gone better.

Dr. Desai performed a much needed hip replacement on me and I was out of the hospital the next day, off of the heavy pain meds the next and walking around the house without the aid of a walker a week later. Fast forward six weeks and I feel like a new man! I am so grateful to Dr. Desai and the rest of the staff at the Watson Clinic, I don’t believe you can find a more professional, qualified and caring medical team anywhere,

I had Dr. Desai do a lft. knee replacement on me 6 weeks ago and he is truly a great surgeon. Very professional, takes time to explain all my concerns and caring. I had no pain to speak of after surgery. I felt some pressure at surgery site but I did not even need pain pills other than taking an occasional Advil with my therapy sessions. After 6 weeks I have reached a bending of the knee at 128 degrees and can walk like I never had surgery at all. Great surgeon.
