Dr. Prashanthi Boppana, MD

The worst experience I've had in the Advocate Medical Group. Very rude, condescending and not knowledgeable. I've had a history of seizures and saw her as my old doctor retired. She acted as if I never had a seizure before and wanted me to go back 20 years to get objective statements from the witness to that event, to prove to her I was telling the truth. How does one do that when it happened in a public place? She ordered tests and I got a call back from her office saying everything is normal, but no opportunity to discuss anything. She also had an intern in the room who looked petrified of her and was never introduced. That poor intern. Lastly when you look at her credentials they look sketchy, and not certainly from a well-regarded school. I've been on hold for 15 minutes waiting for someone to pick up to get their fax# so I can have my records transferred to another provider. Still waiting. I had called 1 month ago to have these records transferred and they never were. More work

Staff is not at all good. Very rude, poor communication. Called to make an appt. and was immediately placed on hold even though I did say it was ok and waited over 10 minutes with no one coming to help me, then hung up. Called back to try again and got a rude woman who had very poor English and did not communicate well.

Horrible doctor! The reviews on the advocate website are either fake, or from family/friends because that is the complete opposite! The one review I read is very true below! The worst doctor I have ever taken anyone to. If you truly care about your loved one please avoid her. She is impotent and uncaring and has no idea what she is doing. I wrongfully took my mom to her only to witness a rude staff and doctor. She does not care about helping and does not like to waste her time answering question
