Dr. Pratima Gondipalli, MD

In December 2018 I was scheduled for a TAVR procedure to repair my aorta valve. While being prepped for the operation Dr. Gondipalli came to my room to insert an IV on the artery in my left arm. His procedure was excessively rough and very painful and very stressful as well. I was trying to calm myself in light of the heart surgery I was about to undergo. When I complained to Dr. Gondipalli about the pain he was inflicting he simply told me that "You need to experience some pain in your life" and he was determined to make me experience pain. When he was finally finished he grabbed my arm where the IV had been inserted and squeezed it between his two hands and I almost passed out from the pain. After the surgery while I was in the intensive care unit Dr. Gondipalli came in to argue with me again about how "thin skinned" I was and that I needed to experience pain.
