Saved my life
Did emergency surgery to remove a large stone in my common bile duct. Went back today for a follow up appointment. Very smart, caring and kind man. I can’t believe the other reviews on this doctor. He saved my life!

I went in for a colonoscopy. As I have been exposed to covid in the past and the facility where my procedure was scheduled is quite busy, I wore a mask and requested my providers did as well. The nurse assisting me accommodated instantly and took it upon herself to request the rest of my team did so I didn't need to do so. The ONLY person who refused was Dr. Sateesh. He immediately became defensive and upset, demanding to know whether I had "an immune disease" and saying it was ridiculous since he would wear one during the procedure. He raised his voice and when I finally said I didn't want the procedure, he kept arguing with me and then finally put on a mask, saying, "It doesn't matter because I have a beard anyways!" I ended up leaving without my procedure, despite going through some grueling prep, because there was no way I was having some out of control, irrational man put his hands on my intimate parts when he couldn't respect a simple, common request from a patient. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR.

There are better choices
When I asked if it would be possible ask a few questions of the doctor about the findings after the procedure, Dr Sateesh came to recovery already irritated and “guns loaded” that he had to be bothered with a patient. He made it clear to both us and the nurse that followup questions are a complete inconvenience to him and that having to see or speak with the patient before or after procedures slows him down. I am not sure he would still be employed if anyone from Spectrum witnessed how disrespectful he was to us. We were so belittled in front of everyone in recovery with disregard for confidentiality or our situation - it is a moment that I will never forget. I wished I had spent more time checking his reviews prior to the procedure as I would have seen the ratings and experiences of others and made a better selection. I just let scheduling assign me to the first available Dr. and that was completely my mistake.

As someone who already felt uncomfortable in hospitals before this procedure, this experience definitely just made it worse. The staff in this facility were not friendly. The appointment felt rushed and I did not feel that the doctor or nurses thoroughly assessed my symptoms before just throwing me into the procedure. They said the endoscopy was clear and they took a biopsy to check for a single food allergy(which I do not have), but didn’t give me the opportunity to ask the doctor any questions, make testing requests, or to present what I thought the problem might be. Would not recommend.

His bedside manner is trash, he knew nothing about my case, walked in before my procedure, snapped at me, didn't answer questions, swooped out again leaving me in tears before I went under anesthesia, forcing the nurses and anesthesiologist to comfort me and reassure my husband before my scope, hile I was still under, he brusquely returned to rudely tell my husband nothing was wrong with me, (there was, he didn't LOOK hard enough) and swept away again, leaving us both feeling disgusted, angry, etc. He is THE WORST doctor I have ever encountered in the entire SHMG community. 0/10 would recommend.

He is awful. He has made my experiences absolutely miserable. I spent two days crying after dealing with him. He is arrogant and rude, I tried to follow up to ask him questions and I felt bullied and attacked. He is unprofessional and I would NEVER recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Sateesh is an amazing, caring doctor. Some of these reviews I read below, I cannot believe. They seem to be total fabrications and I wonder if these people even met Dr. Sateesh. I have a debilitating disease with my colon and now I feel 100% better with Dr. Sateesh working hard to keep me healthy.

Felt disrespected and he did not listen! My daughter and I both felt he was argumentative. Basically, he told me colonoscopy was clear and ,live with the pain of try pain management. That doesn't address the problem! Do not recommend him. Wish I had read the ratings before the procedure.

This doctor has no patient compassion. He makes you cry and doesn't explain anything too you. Then he goes out and yells at the nurses. He is beyond rude. I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. He should take a course in how to be caring. If he's married, I feel sorry for his wife or any of his children. No compassion.
