Excellent psychiatrist
Dr. Rustagi is the best psychiatrist at prescribing the right medication. He has even called me back while he was on vacation. He listens to me and helps me feel good about myself. I would highly recommend him.

Avoid.
I went to his office one time. Asked me what I was diagnosed with. When he didn't like my answer he told me to "Pick one." He then prescribed me a medication that had a chance of a fatal allergic reaction. If that's not enough, he didn't seem to listen or care about what I had to say.

Find someone else.
This doctor pushes pills and when results aren’t met, prescribed another one and then another one. The clucks will continue, the doses will get stronger and the patient will be made to feel like it’s their fault for not getting any better.

Doesn’t care about patient wellbeing and horribly
Their intake forms don’t mark your progress, so you have to call to figure out if you need to finish others. Then asked me to get records from a previous psych before they could schedule an appointment. Then I had to call 3-4 separate days, multiple times a day. Finally 3 weeks after the first call, they say they can’t see me because I have a history of medication and wasn’t specifically recommended to them. AWFUL organization, AWFUL communication, and their response to telling me they can’t make me an appointment after nearly a month of back and forth is “try the walk in clinic”. Find someone who takes your health more seriously and avoid getting the runaround from these people.

Dr Rustagi over medicates. He should have his license removed. Do not trust him to properly treat your child.

Dr. Rustagi has been treating myself and 2 other family members for about 6 years. He is knowledgeable and compassionate. He is also very direct, which some people don't take well. His staff is kind, courteous and efficient. In all these years there have been very few issues with scheduling or billing. I really appreciate all of them.

He is on the clock the entire time, with a focus of getting as many as possible through his overcrowded office. Not interested in explaining anything. "its your choice to keep him (my son) on meds",..."I only prescribe them",... "do you want the prescription or not"...

Quick yet efficient. Direct yet sympathetic. He was willing to work with us to find the right combination of meds. I think our longest wait time has been maybe 20 minutes? I love how he has interns who get to learn from him. I would totally recommend him and his staff!

He's good at ordering the correct meds but wait time up to an hour at times, clients in waiting room shackled & beat up at times. He Told my 9 year old after an hour in waiting room then went in to see dr & he wanted to leave- Dr told me he has ODD ( which he doesn't have) oppositional defiant disorder b/c impatient. he dictates while you're still in the room & schedules patients back to back with no time for discussion. We left him,had enough of feeling unimportant:(

Dr. Rustagi has been my son's Dr. since January. He diagnosed my son with Bipolar disorder and has stayed by his side ever since his diagnosis. Every time my son was admitted into acute care at Parkview Behavioral, Dr. Rustagi was there. Weekends, holidays, he was there. He never gave up on us and we are forever grateful for his time and love. If anyone is looking for a psychiatrist that cares, and shows it, please contact this man. He is amazing at what he does.

Dr. Rustagi is a brilliant doctor, who tells it like it is. He may seem to have a rather clinical demeanor, but that is his job. He understands psychiatric medications, and he will not overmedicate a patient. If you need hospitalization, trust me, he will put you there. He was my psychiatrist for years, and I trusted him implicitly. If he thinks your treatment needs to be augmented with therapy, he will refer you to an excellent therapist. That's what he did with me. See him. He's the best
