Dr. Priya Prashad, MD

I've been going to Dr. Prashad since last fall for my insomnia. She is empathetic, highly experienced, an excellent listener and has always provided sound solutions fitted to realistic goals. In fact, with her I have reached my goal of sleeping without medication. Of course, she is always on time and never rushes through appointments. She is flexible concerning appointment times to fit my schedule. I highly recommend Dr. Prashad to anyone with sleep problems.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Dr. Prashad. This was my first appointment with her for a sleep study consultation, and she did not know me prior. Upon learning that I am autistic—a diagnosis confirmed by other doctors—she immediately dismissed it without asking any questions, she merely thought I didn't 'look' or 'seem' Autistic. I did not seek her opinion on this matter, yet she responded with hostility and condescension. A doctor should foster a supportive and respectful environment, but instead, I was met with invalidation and abhorrent unprofessionalism. This is ultimately why I immediately stopped seeing Dr. Prashad and sought care elsewhere. I would not recommend this provider to anyone seeking compassionate and competent care.

Dr prashad is one of the best sleep medicine doctors I have ever seen, she knows her field responsible and is responsive to messages left the same day. My sleep is so much better under her care
