Dr. Punita Kaveti, MD

If I could give zero stars I would. I'm fairly young (43) and my well check flagged serious potential heart issues. I'm also very fit and healthy, so when I saw Dr. Kaveti for the first time and tried to explain that my 'symptoms' I'd had my entire life so I didn't even realize they weren't normal, she wasn't only dismissive of me, she outright stated she thought that my GP had suggested symptoms and I agreed and didn't have them. I was going to assume bad bedside manner but then she posted 'probably normal' on results that weren't along with stating 'no symptom' on the symptoms I had clearly told her during the visit in MyChart. I requested to change to another provider in the group and was told it would take at least 2 weeks to be reviewed.I'm still getting testing finalized to find out what is wrong, but if it is the more serious concern and I was treated so dismissively then this doctor IS NOT living up to her oath to do no harm. So disappointing to be treated so horribly.

I have had Dr. Kaveti for about 2yrs now and cannot say enough about what a tremendously great Dr. she has been for me.She actually cares about me and my heart issues.

Dr. Kaveti explains everything in a way I can understand. She cares about her patients.

Dr. Kaveri answered all concerns clearly. She is a good listener and communicates well. She is personable and kind. I have also been very happy with the Coumadin Clinic! The clinic is run very well and I always get timely responses when my numbers are “off”.

Dr. Kaveti has been my cardiologist for two years now and I cannot say enough about her. Her staff is professional, friendly and always there to help with the non-doctor issues that arise. Appointments are always on time... I hate waiting 40 minutes past my appointment time to be seen and she focuses on you, unrushed, when she is in the examination room with you. Most importantly, she is an amazing doctor in her field. Explaining complex issues so that the layperson has an understanding of their medical issues before them. I like Dr. Kaveti... She has that friendly, approachable bedside manner about her.

Dr. Kaveti recently performed two out-patient hospital procedures on me: transesophageal echocardiogram and heart catheterization. She was personable in her approach and flawless in her execution. Strongly recommend her.

First time meeting Dr. Kaveti today and I was thoroughly impressed! Many, many thanks to Dr. Kaveti and the entire First Coast Heart and Vascular team for always providing top notch health care!
