Been seeing Dr. Adlakha for years and she is straight-forward and brisk, but never rude. She has tons of patients in her office, and the staff schedule visits to other doctors as needed upon her request or the patient's request which they will confirm with her immediately. They are super busy, so if these people reviewing complain she's curt or she's not getting their other doctors scheduled, I think it is also not so easy for her as she has to rely on staff and she has a lot of patients. I've found her to be sympathetic, but recognizing she doesn't have much time. She has scheduled many other doctors for me, but sometimes it is best if you do the work on your own and recommend a doctor because it takes them time, too. If you are quiet, and don't speak up, then she may not realize your problems. She has been very kind about my problems, never rude, even if outside the norm. Another patient says she has a scolding tone, I think she can sound questioning and curt, but it isn't a scold.

DO NOT GO HERE
Very mean, did not listen to my concerns, argued with me about my own family medical history (she has never seen my family members as patients). She's also extremely bigoted towards addicts, the mentally ill, and fat people. She practically scolded me when I told her yes I'm overweight but I don't have diabetes, like she couldn't believe I didn't have it. She also scolded me for not having a period (I have pcos) as if that's something even remotely in my power to control. Front desk staff will never answer your questions, constantly refer you to your insurance company to do the front desks job, and will blatantly ignore you when you're in the office. Not even the worst doctor I've ever been do, but ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO HERE!!

Pretty much the worst doctor I've ever encountered
By far the worst doctor I've ever experienced, but I have no choice, as my insurance changed and she's now my only option. She at least is very upfront with her rudeness—I don't feel like I'm being gaslighted, just highly disregarded.

Very Bad doctor
She has a big problem communicating with her patients. She is unfriendly. My CPAC had a recall and she did nothing. I asked her to refer me for a colonoscopy, because it was almost 5 years. I have a positive polyp history and she did nothing. I called multiple times but she didn't answer. I am a psychologist and I know that she treated me very rudely and I felt sad seeing people who do not love their profession and are only there for the money.

Dr. Adlakha is a wonderful human being and a great health care provider. I have been under her care for almost 10 years and I know how some people may think she is dismissive, but that's not the case. She is bit fast in knowing your condition with her long experience. Often when we are sick, it affects our psyche and we feel we are not having our 45 minutes counseling session but she is a doctor not a psychologist. She is a great doctor.

Dr Adlakha is very good with type 2 diabetes. She has helped me with some challenges over the past ten years. I am not a brittle diabetic, but could have been without her management and counselling. Was diagnosed at 49 years old.

I have been seeing Dr Adlakha for a few years now. She has a somewhat cold bedside manner, but she has helped me through a number of health conditions that I have recovered from successfully. She definitely pushes meds for everything, but she listens to me when i say no i am not taking them. Overall the best doctor i have found in my area who accepts Masshealth.

I feel that all 5-star comments below were left by Dr Purnima herself. Rude, won't listen to her patient, dismisses all health concerns if you are 50< y.o. knows more about her billing then about health conditions and treatment options. I'm pretty sure when you tell her "I experience this and this" - she walks out and googles the answer, because the results match just too well... but Google explains it better!

She. Is. Rude! Doesn't listen to concerns. I can't believe people give her 5 stars. I think they may be patients of hers for many years. Her clinical skills and attitude are terrible. She pushes the pills and documents you non-compliant if you make an educated choice to refuse the script. My husband was a new pt 2019 and he dreaded his office visits. She doesn't have any interpersonal skills and that would be fine because he wasn't there to make friends, but she acts downright mean and angry. But.... Her office workers are wonderful people, very courteous. That's the only good thing i can say.

I've been with Dr. Adlakha for many years. Dr. is very caring and takes time to listen to you. i can say that I've never felt rushed by the Dr. The waiting time sometimes is long (30 to 45 min.) although we (patients) have no idea what concerns the patient that is with Dr. at the time is dealing with. I trust her guidance and respect her. V
