This is the best doctor I have seen. Super smart, incredibly adept surgically, and great bedside manner. Ignore all the low ratings- from patients who give everyone bad ratings! This doctor is always available and listens!! So important.

Recently had a colonoscopy performed by Dr. Bashir - or I think it was Dr. Bashir. I guess I couldn't tell as there was no interaction or communication between he and I pre procedure (said, "how're you doing" as I entered the treatment room with his back toward me. No post procedure consultation either.

Love this guy he Is extremely professional and a class act . I have been a patient for about 6 years but only needed to see him about 6 to 8 times . Had a procedure and he really puts you at ease and knows his field above and beyond.

I am still haunted by the way this doctor treated me during my last colonoscopy. He came in almost an hour late and started making phone calls while I was laid on the operation bed hooked up to IV with the nurses by my side. It took another 1.5 hours for him to start the procedure. It was incredibly unprofessional and reckless, even the nurses felt very uncomfortable. In the end, there was too much time passed between the preparation and the procedure, the pics showed a thick layer of mucus buildup on the cecum and ascending colon which are the problem areas for me as they found polyps there in the past. Afterwards, he told me that I was fine and that nothing was found. Well, it was not a really reassuring statement. There is no way he could see flat or small polyps in that condition. So I wasted money, time and much effort to get an ineffective exam. He is a talented doctor, but over and over he proved to be a doctor who lacks discipline, ethics and good manners. We are done w/him.

update to recent experience with Dr. Bashir on Aug 4, 2017. After waiting 3.5 hours in pre-op during which time neither he nor anyone on his staff stopped to greet me, explain the procedure, or even update me, I entered the operating room. Three staff attended to me. Dr. Bashir walks he. He does not greet me or even look at me. He turns his back and jokes with staff, then begins texting on his phone. This was the last time I saw him, as he didn't not take time to explain the results.

Worst doctor in the world. i had a cyst in my pancreas. initially he was suppose to drain it in my stomach using endoscopic ultrasound. when i went in for the procedure, he went ahead and did something completely different from what we had discussed and he wasn't even available to explain it to me after the procedure because he is too busy with other patients. he caused me to have pancreatitis and hospitalized for 2 weeks and my cyst was not drained. i am lucky to be alive. stay away.

Physician never returns calls. Asked his staff numerous times to have physician contact me over a four week period. He has yet to call me back. Diagnosed me with a hernia without examining me. This was later ruled out by CT scan. Appears to be more interested in procedures than patient care. I still have the problem I went to see him. Would not recommend this physician to anyone.
