Surprised at the Approach
She had placed an IUD and later emphasized that it was NOT her fault that it didn’t work for me—not that I was blaming her, so I don’t know why she said that so adamantly. She then insisted on a hysterectomy even though I had no pain or any other issues except excessive blood flow. My PCP had no clue why she didn’t just try meds first. But when I suggested meds, she dropped me as a patient and apparently suggested to the next gynecologist that I might not be cooperative. However, the meds have been a fine solution—better than having to recover from surgery for weeks. Guess she’s just a surgeon who loves to do surgery, whether needed or not…
