Dr. Rachel Bevins, DO

I like her if you can get and keep an appointment, my original appointment was over a year ago, has called and rescheduled 4 or 5 times, I’ve lost count, the last appointment was rescheduled for March a couple of weeks ago, they’ve already called to reschedule again, I really don’t understand.

She delivered my son. She did a good job, as it was a somewhat complex vaginal delivery. She has a bold personality. In a way it served me because she convinced me to induce, which needed to be done. But she also hurt my feelings with her attitude at times - as a FTM she took my birth plan the wrong way and insinuated my goal was to not have a healthy baby. Couldn’t be more untrue, I just wanted only certain procedures if necessary (you hear of unnecessary actions being taken in labor without permission). She also told me at 3cm she wants me laying on my back at 10cm in case of cord prolapse, which I found out later from an IBCLC consultant is a very rare issue. I did not want or plan to deliver that way if possible. I was very sad to hear that mid labor and it deeply affected my mindset. I’m grateful my son is healthy, but I wish she would reflect on reviews like these and take them into consideration to better help patients.

My niece had her first baby with this practice and I wanted to meet the doctors responsible for providing such excellent care, I was so worried because she was only 19 and had IUGR and I had my kids at 38 and 42, but they were fine, Thank you so much, Sherrie Moore, Paralegal, LNCC, RN, BSN

Dr. Bevins was super nice, patient, and calming. My appointment was at the very end of the day on a Friday and she still treated me extremely well. I highly recommend seeing her!

Absolutely the rudest on OBGYN I've ever dealt with. I will never return to her. Horrible bedside manner.
