Spinal Stenosis
Dr. Bosho was very professional and thorough during our visits. Had epidural injection in my back which helped tremendously with pain. He explained what the next steps would be in my care. I would recommend him for anyone having back issues.

L4 L5 fusion Back surgery
I have my life back after L4 L5 fusion. I couldn't walk, for that matter, I could do very little. After surgery, I already stood taller and not bent over anymore. I can't say it was pain free and I was very scared. But thanks to Dr. Basho, I am working on normal. I am very glad that I had the surgery.

Pain free at last!
When I came to see Dr. Basho I was in a wheelchair and couldn't walk. I had surgery about 6 months ago. I am doing great and am pain free! I enjoy kayaking and can enjoy my life. I couldn't ask for better results. If you are considering back surgery, I recommend Dr. Basho.

Dr. Basho, Ashleys NP & RN - why we stayed in town
Carefully explained the gravity of the situation with cervical spine stenosis and lumbar spine stenosis, & why cervical must be fixed first. Went over treatment options, likely course with & without surgery, pre-, intra-, and postoperative care in terms we could understand. Wasn't offended by any of our questions & stayed as long as we needed to get through them all. When leaving, gave my husband a hug, stating, "I'm so sorry you're going through this; we'll work with you to feel better." Ashley, RN, took care of all scheduling, coordinating with our primary care provider, and getting us in asap. They are all so personable, professional, and caring - God brought us to this surgeon and his exceptional team. I'll update postop.

Disappointed
Was referred to Dr Basho by my Chiropractor. I went to him but only saw and spoke with his assistant. The assistant referred me to the pain management doctor at Hannibal Regional Hospital (another mistake), which was a horrible experience. I ended up going to University of Missouri Spine Clinic. They actually talked with me and performed surgery within a couple weeks of the initial visit. Very satisfied with them.

Great Experience
Dr. Basho was great at communicating what was going on with my back and was very clear on what options I had for treatment. His bedside manner was always pleasant and caring. I was very concerned with the possibility of back surgery at first, but Dr. Basho relieved my concerns and preformed the surgery in a manner that took away nearly all my pain. "If you have back pain, I feel bad for you son. But if you need back surgery, Dr. Basho is the one."

When I first visited Dr. Basho I couldn’t walk 10 feet. I am just 45 days out from back surgery. So happy with the outcome. Dr. Basho’s staff was wonderful. Recovery was faster than I anticipated. After initial testing Dr. Basho clearly explained my condition and outlined all my options.

Probably the most important thing I can say is that if I need any further spinal surgeries, Dr. Basho will be my pick. He spoke about my condition in terms easy to understand. He did not rush through any appointment. Within 3 weeks my back was feeling so much better. I've been told I act like a totally different person since this successful surgery.

I am a 75 y/o farmer who has had back pain, severe at times, for well over 30 years. After the surgery performed by Dr. Basho I am truly pain free and it feels wonderful. Dr. Basho explained everything that was going to happen prior to the surgery and answered all my questions. He and his staff are truly caring health providers. I would recommend Dr. Basho to everyone who has back pain.
