Worst experience with surgery
Office meetings were fine. Surgery? Awful!! I have not had bladder control since the day I walked out of Spectrum Hospital, May 18, 2020. Imagine going in thinking those leaks and urges will be gone—a thing of the past—and finding that I now have to wear a pad daily because my bladder holds less urine than before surgery and I have no way to stop the urine flow when my bladder is full. Dr. Platte told me 6 weeks after surgery that my bladder was “like a baby’s bladder” and I would have to “build it up.” I worked with a physical therapist for 4 months and still no pelvic floor muscle control. I couldn’t be more frustrated and angry. I asked other women I know if they had a bladder lift and how it went. No one has had the issues I’ve had. I understood that there can be complications but I don’t remember her telling me I could be worse off than I was before I started seeing her. I may be a bit too open about my surgery but I let everyone I know what happened to me.

One of the most caring providers I have ever encountered. She held my hand in the operating room as we waited for the procedure to start. I was so touched.

My surgery to repair a cystostele and rectocele ( spelling ? ) was 100% successful. I followed her recommendations to the tee - 6 weeks off work, no lifting over 10#’s, low activity level, etc. and everything was successful. She and her PA or nurse were very responsive to messages on MyHealth which saved office visits. It is sooo amazing to not have accidents anymore or have to use the bathroom before I leave the house and at each place I go to. Amazing improvement in my quality of life!! Thx!!!

Terrible doctor. Highly condescending, curt, and insensitive. Not interested in listening, caring, or helping you. I would never recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Platte's accent was difficult to understand. I did catch the part where she said to get used to pain for the rest of my life. Worse yet, she scheduled a procedure for a few days before Christmas (I had to wait for months!), then a week or so before, she just quit. Made my holidays way worse than they already were from the pain. IMHO, she is a heartless, worthless, and selfish doctor who has no empathy or respect for her patients. Beware!!! BTW - the office info is for her PAST clinic.

She was wonderful with explaining and treating my issues. She suggested getting my thyroid and diabetes get in order before surgery to avoid other problems that I will also have forever. Dr. Platte and Dr. Bayne in Fremont are the only doctors who have discovered/acknowledged that I thyroid issue for years that has gone untreated by other doctors! Dr Platte explained everything thoroughly and is very caring about my quality of life. I am very grateful for Dr. Platte! Her staff is also WONDERFUL
