Ignored my moms complaints. Lied about hospital to hospital transfer. Terrible doctor. Go somewhere else!!!

My husband has had cancer (lymphoma) twice before and beat it. He began feeling bad a few months ago and set up an appointment with Dr. Cheruku who was recommended to us. He complained about Shannon Medical system. He didn’t want to listen to what me or my husband had to say and was very self absorbed and rude. Talked down to us and dismissed us . Basically telling my husband his case was not oncology related and he needed to go see a different doctor. Our general practitioner ordered a PET scan and the results show enlarged lymph nodes … indicating cancer. We now have a different oncologist who has ordered a bone marrow biopsy and says it’s highly suggestive that my husband has cancer. Cheruku is the worst oncologist we have ever dealt with!!! My husband has never been treated so disrespectfully by a doctor like he was by Cheruku.

It was short lived ..... he did not hear me, concerns, or fears of chemo and I did not feel like my body could handle the treatments, other than He would address that as it comes up. I was not given any other options other than 5 days a week for 6 weeks of Radiation and 1 day a week of chemo for 6 weeks ..... after 3 days of Radiation and 1 day of Chemo ... ended up in ER and Hospital, constant vomiting and diarrhea. Then a visit with him and he was ready to start chemo again that day ......

I was a patient of Dr.Cheruku when he practiced in Brenham Tx. He explained my treatment and treatment plans very thoroughly. I was diagnosed at the time with stage 2 breast cancer with several lymph node involvement. I was so nervous and scared but was super confident that I was getting the best treatment by an even better doctor. I seldom had questions because he informed me so well. And although I was done with treatment I cried when he left because I knew Brenham was losing a great doctor.
